Learning Intention
• We are learning to use a monthly planning template as tool for analyzing the Instructional Guide.
Success Criteria
• We will be able to fill out each section of the planning template and explain how the template can be used with your staff.

• 1/31– Standard Focus (page 1)• Looked at textbook along with pacing guide
(expressions) to verify standards• Read standards and summarized in their own words• By the end of month…• Chose lessons to be taught for the upcoming week

• 2/7– Read instructional practice notes for the standard• Discussed anything new or different• Summarized on sheet
– Team discussed differentiation ideas for the upcoming week
– Misconceptions read and summarized– Planned for upcoming week using the additional
resources in the Instructional Guide
Explore
• Work with your grade level team to fill out the monthly guide for March
Summarize
• Share out – What would work for your teachers?– What would you change?– Where any parts of guide difficult to fill out?
Apply
• Use this with at least one grade level/teacher.• Be prepared to talk to your team about how
the process went in 2 weeks.
