Miller McKenzie was established in 1995 with a simple raison d’etre: “Talent Matters”.

Over the last 20 years we have grown to be the pre-eminent executive recruitment firm within our specialist industries and we have no intention of slowing down.

hoW We WoRKWe work to a proven ‘20 Step Process’ to ensure the quality and consistency of our service, which can be adapted to meet your recruiting needs.

Before we start

1. We’ll meet with you to discuss your recruitment needs, before submitting our Project Strategy2. You then review and approve the Project Strategy, job specification and SLA3. We’ll create a targeted recruitment marketing strategy, advertising your opportunity to potential candidates

Search process

4. We conduct market research, exploring direct and indirect competitors and aligned industries where the perfect candidate might be employed. We’ll discuss this list with you, excluding anyone your business works closely with

5. We’ll identify the prime candidates within these companies and confidentially approach them6. We’ll review the applicants identified through marketing, and include in the process those who qualify 7. Qualified candidates are thoroughly screened using competency based interview questions, with their motivations

and ‘hot buttons’ identified8. A longlist of candidates and CVs are presented and discussed

Interviewing stage

10. We can offer psychometric testing for shortlisted candidates, to identify strengths and concerns to address at interview

11. We’ll arrange a first interview to fit your schedules and handle travel arrangements where necessary12. Candidates receive a final, full brief on the opportunity and company 13. You will be given a suggested structure for the interview if needed - helping you find the answers you need14. After the interview, we’ll fully debrief the candidates, gaining their impression of the opportunity and gauging their

level of interest15. We’ll discuss the interviews with you, providing you with candidate’s feedback, and arrange second interviews with

the most impressive candidates16. We’ll prepare you and the candidate for the second interview and afterwards fully debrief both parties

Offer and onboarding

17. When you’re happy with your choice, we’ll make the offer on your behalf and handle any negotiation18. We’ll prepare the candidate for their resignation and a potential counter offer from their current employers - this

is undoubtedly the most critical stage in the process19. The start date is agreed and confirmed in writing, along with the signing of contracts20. We’ll keep in touch with you and your new employee as they settle into the job, helping ease the process
