Overall, 13.4% had a positive screen. With history of MST Without history of MST Fibromyalgia 13.3% 7.2% Headaches or migraine 11.7% 6.0% Back pain 46.7% 34.7% Chronic pain syndrome 4.0% 1.9% Opioid use disorder 1.4% 0.6% Conclusion: “These findings suggest that MST is a common risk factor among older women Veterans in the VA, contributing to the chronic pain epidemic in this setting.” Presented by a team from the San Francisco VA Health Care System at the 2018 annual meeting of the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies.
