Both the front-corner (2) and rear (3) machine gun mounts accept the same pintle (1).

A pintle-mount is used with machine

guns as the mounting hardware that

mates the machine gun to a vehicle or

tripod. Essentially the pintle is a tube

with a cradle for the gun on top.
