Miles to Go Before I Sleep – An Ode to Robert Frost Dead tired can I barely walk My body aches, I can’t even talk Gasping struggling to breathe While the ground slipping away beneath But I can’t fret, I mustn’t weep For Frost was right I’ve miles to go before I sleep For life’s a struggle, not all thrive, Only the best, fittest survive That’s why I must carry on Striving hard to see the new dawn All the challenges I have to face All the obstacles I must embrace Even though every part of me does ache; And I must struggle to keep awake And I can’t fret, I mustn’t weep For Frost was right I’ve miles to go before I sleep

Miles to Go Before I Sleep – An Ode to Robert Frost

Dead tired can I barely walk

My body aches, I can’t even talk

Gasping struggling to breathe

While the ground slipping away beneath

But I can’t fret, I mustn’t weep

For Frost was right

I’ve miles to go before I sleep

For life’s a struggle, not all thrive,

Only the best, fittest survive

That’s why I must carry on

Striving hard to see the new dawn

All the challenges I have to face

All the obstacles I must embrace

Even though every part of me does ache;

And I must struggle to keep awake

And I can’t fret, I mustn’t weep

For Frost was right

I’ve miles to go before I sleep

I feel lonely and miserable

Yet I must keep calm and stable

Payoff someday my pains will

Page 2: Miles to go before i sleep

Someday I’ll win, reach the top of the hill

And that’s why I keep struggling

Testing myself, I must keep pushing

And I can’t fret, I mustn’t weep

For Frost was right

I’ve miles to go before I sleep

Beacons of humanity, they so inspire

Shining examples motivate me to perspire

And I’ll keep on working hard’

Brave it all, being always on the guard

I look up at the stairs shining bright

And feel ready to carry on my flight

The universe now guides me

………. I’m charged and free

And I won’t fret, I won’t weep

For Frost was right

I’ve miles to go before I sleep

And miles to go before I sleep
