Overview

Rising Stem, with precision ACME thread for quick operation. Stem Packing, designed for optimum control of fugitive emissions leakage to the atmosphere. The ultra-low emission leakage rate is assured by the polished finish stem sealing area, the reduced diametrical clearances and the stem straightness control. Backseat, designed to relieve back pressure on the stem packing when fully sealed. Replacing stem packing under pressure is not recommended. Stem-Globe connection, designed so that under severe applied loads (stuck disc), the stem will fall outside of the stuffing box pressure boundary. Body to Bonnet joint, designed to apply a uniform load to the gasket to assure a leak proof seal. Stellite Seat Rings, provide increased resistance to wear, abrasion and erosion of the sealing surfaces.

Functions Globe Valve is used mainly to regulate the volume of flow. Globe Valve is not recommended when a continuous full flow of fluid is required due to high pressure drop. Globe Valve may be used with fluids containing particles in suspension.
