Migration:Why do
people
migrate to
London?
St. Pauls Cathedral
St Paul's Cathedral is a Church of
England cathedral and set of the
Bishop of East Central London.
Many immigrants have migrated and
settled in London to view these
wonderful attractions as well as work
in them, as they get paid a good sum
of money to help their family survive,
especially when they have just moved to London.
Tower BridgeTower bridge is a famous suspension in London over the
river Thames. It is located in the London borough of
Southwark, and London borough of Tower hamlets.
Many immigrants all over the world migrate near London's
main attractions.
This is because there is a higher chance of them having a
good job which pays them a good wage.
They also come here because some companies in London pay for some high workers’ holidays, which include plane
tickets, , family travel days, special occasions, etc. So it
saves the person a huge amount of money.
London Eye
The London Eye, also known as the Millennium Eye, is a giant Ferris wheel situated at the banks of the river Thames in London, England.
Immigrants search for jobs mostly in or near central London as they know that London is a really diverse area, and is most likely to be a non – racist society, as all backgrounds are mixed together.
Also, having a job in central London, would mean that it improves their English grammar/language, and try new variety of foods from other countries, as London is a multi –cultural area.
Tower of London
Her Majesty's Royal Palace and Fortress, The White Tower, more
commonly known as the Tower of London, is a historic castle on
the north bank of the River Thames in East Central London,
England.
As the tower of London is famous for its amazing history,
immigrants come to London to study about the past in The White
Tower, and to study about the importance and what the tower
holds. E.g. the British crown jewels, and other gold, silver, etc.
Immigrants would love the opportunity of working in one of the
famous locations in the world and also working where the crown
jewels are kept.
Buckingham Palace
Buckingham Palace is the official London residence and principal workplace of the British monarch. Located in South West London, (the City of Westminster) the palace is a setting for state occasions and royal hospitality.
People would migrate to this area because Buckingham palace is the place where most British historical moments or royal occasions are held. For example: The diamond Jubilee, Royal Weddings…
Having to live in an area like this would mean excellent free sighting, and daily walkabouts in Trafalgar square.

positive impact on London?
- A more cultural diversity,
- Huge variety different types of food,
- More cultural festivals
- Different clothing,
- Different fashions
Why do Immigrants really
migrate to London?
Immigrants migrate to the UK because mostly of benefits,
like: free hand-outs, free NHS, free housing, free schooling….
In the countries that they come from they get no benefits and such, so living in UK is more attractive to them.
Unfortunately, this means that we get a tax hike and have to
pay for them.
They come to London because there is a wider range of job
opportunities open for them, the government provides them
good housing and comfort, with the taxes we pay.
Why do some people don’t
want immigrants in the UK?
75% of people in the UK want the number of immigrants
reduced (especially illegal immigrants from eastern
European – Romanians and Bulgarians) because they do not
want people taking over our jobs which the home citizens of the UK worked hard for and deserve.
Also, the taxes we pay for are spent by the government for
the immigrants making sure that they have a house to live in
and they have everything in hands reach. Some people say
that they do not deserve to live in comfort after taking away the jobs we worked hard for, for most of our lives.
What do the papers say?
‘Britain is powerless to stop tens of thousands of Eastern
European immigrants from coming to live in Britain from
next year, Theresa May has admitted.
Five year old quotas limiting the number of people
from Bulgaria and Romania who can move to live in
Britain are due to expire in just over 12 months' time.
This will give 29 million Bulgarians and Romanians the
right to live and work unrestricted in Britain in 2014
under European “freedom of movement” rules.’

Do I trust these sources?I don’t really trust my sources as much. This is
because I got some of the information from Wikipedia, which anybody can edit and add information, whether or not it’s correct or not.
I also got some information from BBC, where they are mostly telling true facts and info, but sometimes there sources can be wrong.
Rest of my information, I collected them from unknown websites, which can be really biased, and can make you believe what they want you believe.

The history of Indian food in Britain is now almost
four hundred years old and not only has the
cuisine undergone a great change in the United

The first time curry was seen on a menu was at
the Coffee House in Norris Street, Haymarket,

dedicated to Indian cuisine was the
Hindostanee Coffee House at 34 George Street,
Portman Square, London in 1809. It was opened
by Dean Mohamed from Patna, India.
