What, When, and WhyWHAT:

The current version is Business Objects XI Release 2

FMIS 4.0 is being upgraded to a newer version called Business Objects XI Release 3

In the rest of this presentation, the abbreviations “R2” and “R3” will be used

Since Business Objects is an off-the-shelf software package, it has certain functions which the FHWA has chosen not to activate. The “Encyclopedia” button under “Open” and the “Dashboards” button are both non-functional.
