command of a platoon in a night attack on an important
outpost near Moeuvres, 21st-22nd Sep 1918. He reached his
objective, killing three and capturing three prisoners and two
machine guns. He drove off counter-attacks by bombing,
and took another machine gun. He was eventually wounded
after a dashing display.'
