The following information supplements and/or supersedes the Bid Documents issued on This addendum forms part of the Contract Documents and is to be read, interpreted, and coordinated with all other parts. The cost of all contained herein is to be included in the contract sum. The following revisions supersede the information contained in the original drawings and specifications issued for the above-named project to the extent referenced and shall become part thereof. Acknowledge receipt of this Addendum by inserting its number on the Tender Form. Failure to do so may subject bidder to disqualification. Drawings:

The total number of lockers is as shown on the attached drawing. (Men’s-43 lockers, women’s 5 lockers)
2. Drawing A106
1. Revise the concrete slab slopes in Bay 01, Bay 02 & Bay 03 as shown on the attached drawing.
3. Drawing A302
Replace maintenance pit detail 7, A302 with the structural detail 3, S3.0.
4. Drawing A304
Revise detail 2, A304 Eliminate fire spray around the steel beam. Install 2 hr fire rated shaft wall, ULC Des W452 on the maintenance building side only. See attached drawing.
5. Drawing A505
The roof should be 2 ply sbs modified bitumen roof - adhered.

1. Eliminate urinal in washroom as shown. 2. Extend the walls in men’s change room 118 and Women’s Change Room 117 facing the corridor 124
to underside of roof deck and fill them with “Roxul” 3-1/2” stone wool sound insulation. Cut the gypsum board to fit into metal roof deck flutes.
3. Align the door frame of the meeting room door 111 with the corridor 124 bulkhead above. 4. For clarification of the extent of fire caulking read note 17 and review the image on the drawing.
Specifications:
1. Section 13 34 23 Fabricated Structures Solar Panel loading: 7 pounds per square foot (7 lbs/sf), in addition to the anticipated snow load. Hung Loads: The ceiling loads for the maintenance building should be 5 pounds per square foot (5 lbs/sf). Crane Beams: Should be supplied and installed by the prefabricated steel structure building subcontractor.
The crane rails should be provided & installed by the crane supplier.
2. Add Specification Section 07 46 16 Preformed Metal Siding.

Part 1 General
1.1 SECTION INCLUDES
.1 Preformed metal siding system for walls, soffits, with insulation, related flashings and
accessory components.
1.2 REFERENCES
.1 ASTM A167 - Stainless and Heat-Resisting Chromium Nickel Steel Plate, Sheet, and
Strip.
.2 ASTM A606 - Steel, Sheet and Strip, High-Strength, Low-Alloy, Hot-Rolled and Cold-
Rolled, with Improved Atmospheric Corrosion Resistance.
.3 ASTM A653/A653M - Steel Sheet, Zinc-Coated (Galvanized) or Zinc-Iron Alloy-Coated
(Galvannealed) by the Hot-Dip Process.
.4 ASTM A755/A755M - Steel Sheet, Metallic Coated by the Hot-Dip Process and

1.3 SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
.1 System: Preformed and prefinished metal siding system of horizontal profile; site
assembled. Refer to wall types indicated on drawings for horizontal and vertical
installation.
1.4 DESIGN REQUIREMENTS
.1 Components: Design and size components to withstand dead and live loads caused by
positive and negative wind pressure acting normal to plane of wall.
.2 Maximum Allowable Deflection of Panel: 1/90 of span.
.3 Movement: Accommodate movement within system without damage to components or
deterioration of seals, movement within system; movement between system and perimeter
components when subject to seasonal temperature cycling; dynamic loading and release of
loads; deflection of structural support framing.
.4 Drainage: Provide positive drainage to exterior for moisture entering or condensation
occurring within panel system.
.5 Products: Provide continuity of thermal barrier at building enclosure elements in
conjunction with thermal insulating materials.
.6 Vapour Retarder: Provide continuity of vapour retarder at building enclosure elements.

.7 Air Seal: Provide continuity of air barrier seal at building enclosure elements.
1.5 SUBMITTALS FOR REVIEW
.1 Shop Drawings: Indicate dimensions, layout, joints, construction details, methods of
anchorage.
.2 Samples: Submit two samples of siding, 8 x 8 inch in size illustrating finish colour, sheen,
and texture.
1.6 QUALITY ASSURANCE
.1 Manufacturer: Company specializing in manufacturing the products specified in this
section with minimum three (3) years documented experience.
.2 Installer: Company specializing in performing the work of this section with minimum
three (3) years documented experience.
1.7 MOCK-UP
.1 Construct mock-up, 10 feet long by 10 feet wide, which includes siding and soffit system,
panel and glazing, attachments to building frame, associated vapour retarder and air seal
materials, weep drainage system, sealants and seals, and related insulation.
.2 Locate where directed.
.3 Mock-up may remain as part of the Work.
1.8 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND PROTECTION
.1 Protect panels from accelerated weathering by removing or venting sheet plastic shipping
wrap.
.2 Store prefinished material off ground protected from weather, to prevent twisting,
bending, or abrasion, and to provide ventilation. Slope metal sheets to ensure drainage.
.3 Prevent contact with materials which may cause discolouration or staining.
1.9 COORDINATION
.1 Coordinate the Work for installation of vapour retarder and air barrier seals.
.2 Coordinate the Work with installation of windows, louvres, and components or materials.
1.10 WARRANTY
.1 Correct defective Work within a five (5) year period after Substantial Completion for
degradation of panel finish including colour fading caused by exposure to weather.
.2 Correct defective Work within a five (5) year period after Substantial Completion water
tightness, and integrity of seals.

Part 2 Products
2.1 EXTERIOR SHEET MATERIALS
.1 Precoated Galvanized Steel: ASTM A653/A653M, Coating Designation G90 (Z275);
shop precoated with silicone polyester coating. Exposed Exterior Surfaces: colour from
manufacturer's standard range.
.2 Aluminum-zinc alloy coated sheet steel conforming to the requirements of AST M
A792/A792M Standard Specification for Steel Sheet, 55% Aluminum-Zinc Alloy-Coated
by the Hot-Dip Process with metallic coating designation AZM150 (AZ50)
2.2 INSULATION
.1 Refer to wall types and exterior insulation requirements as shown on the drawings.
2.3 ACCESSORIES
.1 Gaskets: Manufacturer's standard type suitable for use with system, permanently resilient;
ultraviolet and ozone resistant; colour as selected.
.2 Sealants: Manufacturer's standard type suitable for use with installation of system;
non-staining, non-skinning, non-shrinking and non-sagging; ultra-violet and ozone
resistant; colour as selected.
.3 Fasteners: Manufacturer's standard type to suit application; with soft neoprene washers,
steel, hot dip galvanized; fastener cap same colour as exterior panel. Exposed fasteners
same finish as panel system.
.4 Field Touch-up Paint: As recommended by panel manufacturer.
.5 Bituminous Paint: Asphalt base.
.6 Building Paper: Cellulose fibre building paper, water repellent breather type.
2.4 COMPONENTS
.1 Exterior Sheet:
- Minimum 24 gauge thick precoated steel stock profile as indicated; 36 inches wide
panel; lapped edges, filled with sealant.
- Profile: 7/8” Corrugated
- Fabricated from Z275 galvanized sheet steel conforming to ASTM A653M Grade 230 or
AZ150 Galvalume, sheet steel conforming to ASTM A792M Grade 230.
-Colour to be selected from a standard colours palette.
- Prepainted colour from the Perspectra Series Paint System.
.2 Sub-girts: Formed galvanized steel, ASTM A653M Grade 230 with Z275 zinc coating, as
detailed in the approved shop drawings
.3 Soffit Panels: 24 gauge thick precoated steel, profile in 36 inch wide panels; lapped edges
filled with sealant.

.4 Internal and External Corners: Same material, thickness, and finish as exterior sheets;
profile to suit system; shop cut and factory mitred to required angles. Mitred internal
corners to be back braced with precoated sheet stock to maintain continuity of profile.
.5 Expansion Joints: Same material, thickness and finish as exterior sheets type, of profile to
suit system.
.6 Trim, Closure Pieces, Caps, Flashings, Facias, and Infills: Same material, thickness and
finish as exterior sheets; brake formed to required profiles.
.7 Anchors: Galvanized steel
2.5 FABRICATION
.1 Form sections true to shape, accurate in size, square, and free from distortion or defects.
.2 Form pieces in longest practicable lengths.
.3 Panel Profile: Corrugated
.4 Fabricate corners in one continuous piece with minimum 18 inch returns.
Part 3 Execution
3.1 EXAMINATION
.1 Verify substrate framing.
.2 Verify that building framing members are ready to receive panel system.
3.2 INSTALLATION - BUILDING PAPER
.1 Install 1 layers building paper horizontally on walls to receive metal siding.
.2 Weather lap edges 6 inches and ends minimum 6 inches, minimum.
.3 Stagger vertical joints of each layer.
.4 Securely staple in place.
3.3 INSTALLATION
.1 Install metal siding system on walls and soffits in accordance with manufacturer's
instructions.
.2 Protect surfaces in contact with cementitious materials and dissimilar metals with
bituminous paint. Allow to dry prior to installation.
.3 Fasten siding to structural supports; aligned, level, and plumb.
.4 Locate joints over supports. Lap panel ends minimum 2 inches.

.5 Provide expansion joints where indicated.
.6 Use concealed fasteners unless otherwise approved by Consultant.

3.4 TOLERANCES
.1 Maximum Offset From True Alignment Between Adjacent Members Butting or In Line:
1/16 inch.
.2 Maximum Variation from Plane or Location Indicated on Drawings: 1/4 inch.
3.5 CLEANING
.1 Remove site cuttings from finish surfaces.
.2 Clean and wash prefinished surfaces with mild soap and water; rinse with clean water.

The following document is hereby made a part of the Contract Documents. The following revisions and/or additions shall be made to Drawings and/or specifications and the cost shall be included in Tender Price.
REVISIONS TO SPECIFICATIONS SECTION 15400 – PLUMBING & DRAINAGE 2.19 – Compressed Air Units 1. Revise 15 meters to 30 meters in Paragraph .4. Each compressed air hose reel shall be a
minimum of 30 meters long. SECTION 15750 – LIQUID HEAT TRANSFER 2.18 – Under Floor Heating System 1. In Paragraph .13 – Alternate Equipment, delete Subparagraph .1. SECTION 15850 – AIR DISTRIBUTION 2.5 – HVAC Units 1. In Paragraph .10, revise the first paragraph to read as follows: “Provide fused disconnect and
magnetic starter of type to conform to Power Authority requirements.” 2.10 – Energy Recovery Ventilator 1. In Paragraph .1, add new point as follows: “weatherproof fused disconnect switch.” 2. Revise Paragraph .11 – Acceptable Manufacturers to add “.4 Cook”. 3. Revise Paragraph .6 to delete “and activate the electric preheat of the defrost cycle”. 2.11 – Fan Equipment 1. In Paragraph .10 – Alternate Equipment add the following: “Recirculating Fans 1. Banvil”

Add new Paragraph .11 as follows: “Each circulating fan shall be Wilcorp Manufacturing Ltd., Toronto, vertical downward thrust indoor type, large diameter propeller ceiling fan complete with variable speed motor, mounting brackets, canopies, 19 mm diameter downrod, 3 wire BX connections and fire cutout. Supply for each group of fans noted, WMLE-30 solid state infinite speed controller with thermostat. See Fan Schedule. See Starter Schedule.
2.13 – Extraction Arms 1. Delete Subsection 2.13 – Extraction Arms in its entirety. 2.15 – Heating & Ventilating Unit 1. In Paragraph .1 – General, delete the last sentence. 2. In Paragraph .9 – Unit Control Panel, add the following sentence: Provide weatherproof
disconnect switch.” 2.17 – Tail Pipe Exhaust System 1. Revise first Paragraph to show “15M (50’0”). 2. Revise Paragraph .3 – Alternate Equipment to add “.3 Levco”. 2.18 – Energy Recovery Ventilator 1. Revise the title of this subsection to read: “Indoor Heat Recovery Ventilator”. Also update the
Table of Contents page. 2. Revise Paragraph .7 to add the following sentence: “Unit shall be complete with fused
disconnect.” 3. Revise Paragraph .8 – Alternate Equipment to add “.3 Cook”. REVISIONS TO DRAWINGS GENERAL 1. Revise ‘North’ directional arrow in title block to be the same as referenced on Architectural
Drawings. DRAWING M101 1. Delete urinal against south wall of Men’s Change Room 118. Also delete associated water, drain
and vent lines. Refer to the architectural drawing A.103 for location. DRAWING M102 1. Connect each eyewash unit’s drain line to buried sanitary system. Provide trap and vent line for
each wash unit to Code requirements.
