Physical Development

• Tremendous energy consumed rapidly

• Hand/eye coordination well-developed • Children may be very fidgety.

COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT

Distinguish differences between private and public life

Understanding of reason/consequence.

Makes and carries out plans.

Can use models, graphs, and symbols to solve problems.

MENTAL DEVELOPMENT

• shows interest in reading fictional stories, magazines,and how-to project books.
