Friday evening Cruise saturday evening event

Join us for “Brilliant Beacons,” a multi-media presentation by award-wining author Eric Jay Dolin on Saturday, June 25th at the Samoset Resort (220 Warrenton St, Rockport, ME 04856) beginning at 7 pm.

Hear the dramatic story of these soaring coastal sentinels, using imagery to illumi-nate the beauty and grandeur of America’s lighthouses.

In addition, the evening event will include a silent auction filled with great items and light refreshments. There is a $5 suggested donation that will benefit ALF/ FRHL’s lighthouse preservation mission.

Complete the Challenge and be entered into a drawing to win a luxurious two–night stay at one of the three Historic Inns of Rockland...Details online & in your challenge booklet!

Enjoy a fun-filled sunset cruise aboard the P/V Elizabeth Ann that will depart from Rockland on Friday, June 24nd at 4:30 pm.

Tickets are $48 per person. Light refresh-ments will be served. As seating is limited, reservations are encouraged.

This is a wonderful opportunity to see 7 lights from the water, which includes: Rockland Breakwater, Owls Head, Indian Island, Curtis Island, Browns Head, Goose Rocks and Eagle Island lighthouses.

It is very easy to get started on the light-house challenge...simply stop by the event table at your first lighthouse on Saturday morning and event volunteers will get you signed up and on your way to climbing some lighthouses!

All participants will receive a challenge booklet to guide you along the way, which includes directions, history and a place for a site stamp from each lighthouse you visit.

In addition to the stamp, a special token will be handed out as a keepsake at each lighthouse site.

The challenge is free; however, individual sites may have an entrance fee.
