FORT SMITH COCA-COLA MUSEUMA Family Tradition

We had an opportunity to go to Arkansas withGary and Karen Grindel to visit the Coca-ColaMuseum in Fort Smith. A great big THANKYOU to Dell and Carolyn Nelson for arrangingthe tour of this wonderful meeting collection. The curator of this museum is Fred Kirkpatrick.Fred met us with a big smile and a great passionfor what is does for the bottling company. Fredled us through the awesome history of this muse-um, even though he is 97 years old. He beganworking at the bottling company in 1938 and

continues to go to work every day to take care ofthe museum that entails the entire second floor. The Meek family members are still general part-ners in the Fort Smith Bottling Company.Carolyn remains active in the museum and isvery proud of her heritage.
