CODE OF CONDUCT FOR ADULTS AND YOUTH PARTICIPANTS

1. Be respectful of yourself and others in your words and physical actions: towards peers and adults.

2. NO bullying will be tolerated (physical or verbal)!

3. Use and possession of alcohol, illegal substances, and weapons (guns, knives, etc.) is strictly prohibited! This offense is an immediate removal from the current youth event.

4. Public displays of affection are limited to: hand holding and friendly hugs. Anything beyond these is

considered inappropriate for our atmosphere. No touching in “bathing suit areas.”

5. Respect other’s property (church, peers and other’s)! Don’t go through other people’s stuff.

6. Youth must stay in groups of two or more at all times and you MUST notify a Youth Group Director of your whereabouts. NO ONE IS PERMITTED TO GO OFF PROPERTY WITHOUT the Youth Group Directors’ approval!

7. Follow Youth Directors and Mentors instructions.

8. Choose clothing that is respectful to yourself and others.

IF YOU BREAK ANY RULE OF THIS CODE, THE FOLLOWING WILL OCCUR: A. FIRST OFFENSE

A warning and a reminder of the rules will be given to the individual by the Youth Director. B. SECOND OFFENSE Youth will be asked to leave the event. Parents will be contacted for a required meeting with the Youth Director, youth and parent.

C. THIRD OFFENSEYouth will be asked to leave the youth event. A required meeting with the Youth Director, youth, parent, and Pastor.

D. FORTH OFFENSEYouth will be asked to leave the youth event. The youth will be required to participate in counseling through the Youth Director or Pastor. The length and frequency will be determined by the Youth Director and Pastor.

*The Youth Director and Pastor will take into consideration each situation and be the final judge and jury. We have read, understand, and are willing to abide by the Alma United Methodist Church Code of Conduct.
