To assist you in this task you have a number of different tools such as resources, budgets, plans, contracts and maybe a project management software like Microsoft Project 2007 (MS Project 2007).

What is Project Management?

Before you start shopping for software it is a good idea to have an understanding of what project management is and what it is not. Project management is not quite the same as “management.” Project management includes all the phases of a project and is concerned with their scheduling, supply, execution and delivery. But it goes beyond that. Project management also has to account for a mysterious planning factor referred to as the “float.”
