Monuments: Winter weather may cause delays in setting monuments in the cemetery. Normally it takes 1½ to 3 months to get one completed and set; sometimes longer. Things that effect completion: *Time it takes for purchaser to decide on style *Type of material and design *Type of granite selected (quarried in the United States or overseas) *Supply presently on hand. My late wife’s monument took seven months from date of order. Sometimes the graves need to settle for a year or more (i.e. parts of Paola Cemetery). The vast majority are set within 3 months, but bad weather does have an effect on the setting. Memorial Day is in May; six months from now.
