Scotland – Islands and Highlands, Cities and Lowlands May 9-19 Join Mick and a host of Scottish scholars and musicians on a memorable tour which will start in the warm city of Glasgow famed for its extraordinary industrial history and continue along fabled Loch Lomond to the Western Part of Argyll and the beautiful port town of Oban. Take ferries from Oban to South Uist in the Outer Hebrides and spend two days there with a top Scottish scholar who will lead you through the oldest and most enigmatic antiquities in the area with music concerts every night featuring some of the oldest and most beautiful Gallic traditional styles in the islands. From there take another ferry to Lewis, the repository of the some of the artistically advanced music and singing traditions in the whole of the Western Isles.
