A very exciting week for Mr Martin and Mrs Jenkins in particular as they opened their new doors to children for the first time! Do come to the
official opening and support the concerts we have planned next week. We have invited some fantastic professional musicians on Thursday and
Friday evening and it would be lovely to have a full Henderson Hall for
both events. Do contact Mags on [email protected] if you would like to come.
Your children have been fabulous this week and it is lovely to watch Year 3 settle excitedly into their new routines and Reception taking those
first tentative steps into full time school. They all have plenty to look
forward to this year and I hope that they make the most of the many opportunities coming their way; I am sure that they will!

Emily (Y6) and Henry W (Y4) having reached the Mediterranean at the end of a 364 mile bike ride
through France!
Albert W (Y5) was awarded the All-Rounder award for
the Burghill under 9’s and received medals for playing in both the under 9’s and under 11
squads.
Johnny D (Y3) has been awarded the under 9’s
coaches award by Burghill cricket club.
Robert (Y8) and Rosie (the pony) won 13hh M&M
Open Working Hunter Pony at the Royal Welsh Show.
Strong competition against adults and a tough technical course. Well done!
Alice S (Y8) and her pony
Monkey managed to qualify for
the Pony Club national Championships in all 3 disciplines
(a rare feat!) - Dressage (individually), Show Jumping
(individually) and Eventing
(individually and as a team winning the qualifier). Due to
timetable clashes she was only able to compete in 2 disciplines
at the Championships but came
home 8th in the dressage championships! Well done.
