6 Credit Hours: Most students take ENG 111 (first
semester) and ENG 112 (second semester)
Students with AP credit for 111 take only ENG 113
Honors students have different courses that are equivalent to ENG 111, such as ENG H101 and H102
ENG 109 is the equivalent of ENG 111 for non-native English speakers
12 credit hours total:› 3 must be IIA: Fine Arts› 3 must be IIB: Humanities› 3 must be IIC: Social Science› 3 may be from any of IIA, IIB, or IIC
6 hours total:› 3 must be IIIA: United States Cultures› 3 must be IIIB: World Cultures
9 hours total:› 3 must be IVA: Biological Science› 3 must be IVB: Physical Science› 3 may be from either IVA or IVB
The hours used to meet the requirement must include one laboratory course
College of Arts and Science students need to complete 10 cr. hrs
3 credit hours total
Doesn’t necessarily mean Math or Statistics, could be a logic course, linguistics, or computer science
Historical Perspective (H) Requirement First-Year Seminar Requirement
