Subject: Hostile Work Environment and Charter Violation

I regret that I must file this formal complaint concerning a hostile work environment that is severe and pervasiveand has altered my work environment. I must also report charter violations.Councilmember Richard Pulido has created a hostile work environment for me in an open and notorious manner.I have reported to the Town Management that he raised his voice and approached me in a physically threateningmanner and made comments that are demeaning and degrading to me. There have been multiple witnesses inthese incidents. At the last Council Meeting on January 12, 2010, I was humiliated by Councilmember RichardPulido in a manner that is traumatizing and affected me deeply, specifically in front of witnesses. He got in myface and yelled "You and the entire staff are a humiliation to public service. This is fucking bullshit." His conductwas assaultive and I felt physically threatened and unprotected. He only stopped when another elected official.interceded. He has given me and my staff direction in violation of the Town Charter. At this point, I feel threatenedby having to have contact with him. I am in fear of imminent retaliation as a result of bringing this matter to theattention of multiple parties.I believe that this harassment is a result of me being a female as I have not seen Council member Richard Pulidotreat male employees in a similar fashion. At this point I am seeking protection and corrective measures .
