Honoured to be the first properly trained/experienced Geophysicist of LMKR. Later help train many hundreds of Geoscientists for application support, Data Management, Seismic data processing, support and IT development tasks.

When I myself completed my MSc from Quaid i Azam University Islamabad Pakistan in late 80s, then there were no job openings for Geophysicists and also merit for MSc Geophysics was very low. Only one university offering MS in Geophysics. But If we look at late 90s, the merit for MS Geophysicist was at top-high, while many other universities started Geophysics specialization including Behria, UET, Punjab University and many other institutions in Sindh, AJK, Karachi etc. Because of LMKR hiring/trainings/local/overseas attachments of many hundreds of Geos.

Help Setup Landmark Processing centres/setup in KSA, UAE and Egypt. But Landmark internal politics, attachment/deployment of Landmark own Expats as project in-charges had badly delayed/kill the good opportunities.

LMKR-OGDCL JV Centre. Good success story but again ends up in between due to the internal politics, management conflicts between OGDCL/LMKR. But excellent training opportunities for OGDCL professionals for interactive parameter testing, using GLI3D and ProMAX2D/3D with commercial aspects and awareness.

Vintages (69 lines) of GAMBAT area to LMKR in December 2003. The objectives of this project was to reprocess

different Vintages data in one go with uniform processing sequence, and to improve the overall quality of available

data for more confident interpretation. After careful misties analysis at tie points, following recommendations were

made.

o Investigate the reliability of navigation data and projection parameters through some Geodetic Services

Company.

o Revise the statics model especially the pseudo 3D statics modelling after fixing the elevation misties

issue or using free of elevation misties data.

o Revision of processing/reprocessing using revised statics model.

o The elevation misties could be due to miss positioning of the lines, a detailed investigation is required.

o Generate only one 3D refraction static model covering each dataset

o Removal of misties through optimal statics model by generating one refraction static model covering each

dataset.

o Improvement of data quality at reservoir level 2 – 2.5 Sec
