MODEL FOREST OF NEWFOUNDLAND & LABRADOR IS A PROUD MEMBER OF THE CANADIAN MODEL FOREST NETWORK
All across Canada, theforest sector is dealingwith rising energy costs, astrong dollar, global com-petition, and reducedtimber supplies. AsCanada’s forest-basedindustries and economiesrise or fall, so too do thecommunities that exist
because of the forest and the work it provides tothousands of Canadians.
Change is bringing opportunity to forest-basedcommunities, where people with experience, skills and knowledge are the forest sector’s
greatest asset in changing times.
The Model Forest of Newfoundland and Labrador has been provided withpartial funding from CFS-NRCan as part of its Forest Communities Program
