Once we receive your order, we will send an engineer to carry out a site survey using accurate laser surveying equipment. Data from the survey is fed into the design system to enable the structural design to be formulated, prior to issuing you with CAD drawings to ensure we have understood your requirements prior to the supply and installation process.

Fixed Dock ShelterThe Fixed Dock Shelter forms an efficient and effective seal between the dock opening and the vehicle, providing sheltered loading and unloading. The vehicle pushes the curtain back when it reverses creating the seal, providing excellent protection from wind and rain.

The flexible side and head curtains can be manufactured from either PVC or Neoprene with flexible stays sewn in for rigidity, all of which are mounted on a timber frame. Additional Neoprene pleats at wear points are available on request.

The dock shelter requires a flat fixing area with no projections.

Collapsible Dock ShelterThe collapsible nature of this product means the frame design will collapse back against the building if hit by a poorly aligned vehicle, rather than falling like a traditional fixed frame design.

Manufactured from Polyester Trevira fabric with PVC UV resistant coating on both sides ensuring very high tear resistance. Up to 900mm projection possible (standard projection 600mm).

Inflatable Dock SealInflatable Dock Seals remain deflated until the vehicle is in the correct position, thus minimising vehicle and seal damage and making it a very hard-wearing product.

Standard Inflatable Dock Seals fit the majority of loading bays and provide a highly effective seal to different vehicle heights, widths and shapes. Non standard units are available on request.

The Inflatable Seal is manufactured from Neoprene Polyamide fabric coated with Chloroprene rubber, providing a smooth, hard wearing material on all models.

The Seal will inflate and deflate in just 30 seconds, and has a power consumption of just 60w once fully inflated.

Modular Loading PodsOur Modular Loading Pods can be an economical alternative to traditional dock leveller pit systems. They are installed on the outside of existing (or new) buildings so do not require expensive and intrusive concrete openings or pits creating in the building for dock levellers.

Modular Loading Pods can be easily relocated to another part of the building of can even be relocated to an alternative site.

Dock LevellersClark Handling supply & install a range of Dock Levellers for bridging the height difference that exists between vehicles and the loading dock, which range from hand operated Counterbalance Drawbridge Dock Levellers, up to automated Pit Mounted Electro Hydraulic Dock Levellers. These Electro Hydraulic Dock Levellers can be fully interlocked into your current system, or new builds for the ultimate in safe and efficient operation.

Dockloader / ScissorliftThis fitted unit can be installed either inside or outside a building/door to load and unload vehicles from ground level where no loading bay exists. The Dockloada accommodates a much larger range of vehicle heights than Dock Levellers, enabling the loading and unloading of all vehicles from double deck trailers to transit vans. The Dockloader can either be fitted above ground and raised to accept all vehicle heights or mounted into a pit so its lowered position is flush with the ground.

Counter Balanced Drawbridge LevellerClark Handling supply and fit Counter Balanced Drawbridge Levellers that are available in various widths and lengths with capacities of either 4000kg or 6000kg. This product is ideal for fitting to existing docks, as it eliminates the need for any structural work.

The Dock Leveller is welded and anchored to a built-in steel channel, 150mm deep, which must exist on the edge of the dock. When not in use, the leveller is stored and locked in

the vertical position. To operate the leveller, the foot lock is released and the leveller can then be lowered into the vehicle, using the handle provided. Safety side curbs are fitted as standard. Durbar tread plate is fitted as standard, anti-slip paint is recommended for outside applications.

Cantilever RacksCantilever racks are particularly suited for the storage of long goods and bulky parts.

This kind of storage system allows the arms to be horizontally inserted into the vertical

columns. Despite the heavy loading capacity of the arm, this remains flexible and

moves side-wards and upwards when hit for example by a forklift truck. Arms and

goods remain undamaged. As standard the columns are punched every 100mm to

Wide Aisle Pallet RackingWide Aisle Racking is the most widely used storage system for palletised loads. Single and double sided runs of racking are separated by wide aisles to suit the customer`s existing fork lift trucks.

Narrow Aisle Pallet RackingNarrow Aisle Racking consists of the same basic components as wide aisle racking but with the runs of racking placed closer together eliminating the wasted space of a wide aisle. The pallets can be stored to a greater height to maximise all available space. The pallets are accessed via specialist trucks which are guided in the aisles by either wire in the floor or floor mounted guide rails.

Very Narrow Aisle Pallet RackingVery narrow aisle and crane served racking provides the most efficient way of storing pallets with all of the aisle width reduced to the very minimum and racking heights of up to 30 metres.

Drive In Pallet RackingDrive In (Drive Through) Racking is used where high density storage is required. It is frequently used in facilities with a low number of product lines. Pallets are stored in a block system

with two blocks generally served by one operating aisle. The trucks drive into the racking to load or retrieve pallets which are stored on cantilevered rails running throughout the system. The first pallet in is the last pallet out unless a Drive Through system is used, whereby pallets can be loaded or retrieved from either side of the block.

Push Back Pallet RackingPush Back Racking is a form of live storage with pallets being stored two, three or 4 deep. Pallets are loaded onto a trolley or carrier which pushes the other pallets back up a channel rail. When a pallet is removed from the system, the remaining ones in that lane will roll forward. Pallets are accessed from one side only.

Pallet Live StoragePallet Live Racking comprises sloping roller beds supported on pallet racking to form a block. Pallets are loaded in to the system at the on-load face and roll forward to the off-load face from where they are removed from the system.

Mobile Pallet RackingMobile Racking is easily configured to utilise the most space available for the storage of pallets. The racking is mounted on a mobile chassis which move along guided rails installed within the floor. This design is often used for cold stores, where the maximum amount of space can be used for storage.

Since 1997 Clark Handling has been carrying out independent surveys of all types of pallet racking and following on to complete repair work where required. These inspections and repairs are carried out to the SEMA codes of practice, and are now required under PUWER and Health & Safety legislation.

Pallet racking is classified as “Work Equipment” and therefore requires regular documented inspections and maintenance.

Regular rack safety inspections can help reduce both insurance premiums and your maintenance costs. A rack audit may be required by your Health & Safety Officer, insurance company following a warehouse accident or rack collapse.

We recommend rack inspections at intervals of no more than 12 months. Clark Handling also supply and fit many types of complimentary racking safety equipment such as upright protectors, anti-collapse steel mesh guarding and barriers.

SEMA (Storage Equipment Manufacturers Association) is proactive in the development of standards for the Storage Industry in the UK. SEMA develop and influence both National and European Codes of Practice and guidelines for the design, supply and installation of all types of storage equipment.

Lockers and Cabinets are welded and riveted in construction. Semi-concealed hinges are welded to the door and riveted to the frame, allowing easy replacement of doors. Glide-Out and Glide Out HDGlide-Out racking is easily handled by one person and is equipped with an automatic locking system for operational safety. It`s modular design means that it can be added to or adjusted as required, and consists of a starter bay and extension bays.

Conventional racking systems tend only to use the front of the shelf, because of the difficulty in accessing equipment stored further back. This opens the door to accidents whilst transferring loads from the rack. The Glide Out system eliminates this danger and also reduces handling problems by giving access to the shelf via cranes and monorails. Glide Out racking increases safety, reduces handling times by up to 80% and can cut your storage units footprint by half.

Three shelf configurations are available : Standard Single Entry which can be extended up to 63% in one direction, Double Entry shelves which can be extended up to 63% in two directions, and Superglide 2, a two stage extending system which gives 100% access to the shelf area. This racking is ideal for the safe and secure storage and handling of expensive and hard to store dies, mould tools, jigs and fixtures.

If you need something more robust, the Glide-Out HD line provides the same security or storage with added capacity. It gives you the ability to store 10,000kgs per shelf, managed by a portable pneumatic cylinder system, or to include fixed shelves with a capacity of up to 20,000kgs.

SheetmasterThe Sheetmaster offers exceptionally safety storage and handling of sheet materials. This system gives more than 50% savings in Floorspace, coupled with a reduction in the product handling times of up to 80%.

Two types of shelves are available with 63% or 100% extension. Standard shelf sizes range from 2m x 1m up to 4m x 2m based on desired sheet size. The shelves can be modified to carry between 500kg and 3000kg to manage any load. The shelves are extended via a mechanical crank system or manually, depending on their weight capacity.

ExtractorThe Extractor has been specifically developed to safely store those long, hard to handle products such as extrusion and calibration equipment or raw materials, such as steel bars and sections, jigs and fixtures. Available cradle sizes range from 2 to 6 metres deep, and from 400mm to 1 metre wide, and are available in both standard and double entry configuration.

The Extractor is modular and can be adjusted or added to and when required. Loading and unloading the mobile cradles can be done either via an overhead crane or a forklift, using slings

Canti-triever RangeThe Canti-triever range of racking has been specifically designed to handle long steel bar sections and components. This is a modular system, and may be adjusted or extended as requirements change.

It is available in both single and double-sided configurations. It safely handles and stores items up to 30 metres long, and gives 100% access to all storage levels by means of overhead cranes. The capacities of the arms and the length or the storage can be custom designed to suit any application.

The Cant-triever significantly reduces loading and unloading times, and cuts aisle requirements by half.

Press and Mould Tool Storage RacksThese are designed for the storage of press tools, mould tools, dies etc. It is used in conjunction with a die cart c/w scissor-lift to horizontally load-to unload tools from machine to rack and rack to machine. This system is modular and may be adjusted or extended to meet changing requirements.

Each bay is constructed using a structural steel framework with connecting beam for support. Each level has a rolled bed that is specifically designed for the stored item and can accommodate loads of up to 15,000kg for a massive 45,000kg bay unit. Because of such large loads, each rack has specifically designed spring loaded front stops that automatically engage and disengage when tools are being loaded and unloaded via die cart.

Smoking Shelters

Clark Handling supply a range of standard Curved or Flat roof Smoking Shelters, including seating and wall mountable cigarette bins.

Base plate feet are fully adjustable for easy on site levelling, and can be fixed to solid concrete.
