LENT 2019

The holy season of Lent begins this year on Wednesday 6th March. See front cover for Mass times. This day (and Good Friday) is a day of Fasting and Abstinence—Catholics older than 14 are required to abstain from flesh meat and those from 18-60 should fast: i.e. only one meal and two snacks, which are less than a normal meal. During Lent, the Cathedral’s programme of Masses, Confessions and events will continue as normal, but there will also be Stations of the Cross on Friday evenings at 6pm. PRAYER—FASTING—ALMSGIVING

SCIAF LENTEN ‘WEE BOX, BIG CHANGE’ APPEAL 2019

Please give to SCIAF this Lent and make big changes happen with your WEE BOX. SCIAF packs are available at the back of the church.
