Project OverviewPhase 1 of the Metro Exposition Transit Corridor project is an 8.6-mile extension of the 73 station Metro Rail System from the existing station at 7th St/Metro Center.

It will include ten new stations and upgrades to two existing stations. The alignment will be primarily at-grade, parallel to I-10, and will end in Culver City. The estimated travel time between Downtown LA and Culver City will be less than 30 minutes.

Phase 1 will share a track and two stations (7th St/Metro Center and Pico) with the existing Metro Blue Line through Downtown LA. It will then travel along the Exposition right-of-way to the Culver City Station near downtown. Phase 1 includes new stations at:

> Je=erson/USC

> Expo Park/USC

> Expo/Vermont

> Expo/Western

> Expo/Crenshaw

> Farmdale

> Expo/La Brea

> La Cienega/Je=erson

> Culver City

An Alternatives Analysis Study was completed for the “Mid-City/ Westside Transit Corridor” in February.

A Draft Environmental Impact Statement/Environmental Impact Report (Draft EIS/EIR) was completed. As a result of this analysis, light rail was adopted as the preferred mode for the Exposition Corridor.
