Scheduling Classes

Evaluations must be attached to a class

Standard Learning Methodologies: Instructor Led Training Online Facilitated Self-Paced, Web-

Based

Add 1 or more instructors for ILT and Online Facilitated


Hands-On: Navigate to Add Class

1. Click Administration > Schedule Training

2. To the right of Classes, click Add

3. If Learning Provider is visible as first box,choose the appropriate one


Add Courses

Courses describe the content delivered For example: Project Management Fundamentals Classes occur on specific dates with specific

instructors


Do not use for certified technology courses (Microsoft,

Cisco, Adobe, CompTIA, etc.)

Hands-On: Add CourseOn the Add Class page...

1.In the Course box, select the course from the drop-down menu

2.If not found, click the Add link to the right

3.Enter the Course Name

4.Select the Default Post Event Survey

5.Select the Course Type

6.Click Save


Do not use for certified technology courses (Microsoft,

Cisco, Adobe, CompTIA, etc.)

Associate Certified Courses

Associates official courses toyour account

Makes ratings visible to Content Providers Assigns proper evaluation


Commercial Learning

1.Click Add Certified Course

2.Enter course name or number

3.Select Contains

4.Select Content Provider

5.Click Search

6.Check the Add boxes

7.Click Add to My Courses

Add Locations

Most organizations use cities as location names

Alias can be used in a URL to access evaluation Use a single word

(no spaces) Explained further

later today

1.In the Location box, select the Location from the drop-down menu

2.If not found, click the Add link to the right

3.Enter the location Name

4.Enter a single word as the Alias

5.Select the Time Zone

6.Enter any Certification IDs

7.Click Save

Add Instructors

Creates instructor that can be scheduled in classes

Creates instructor user account for reporting Can only see their

own class data


Uncheck if instructor should not access MTM

Do not use for certified Microsoft, Novell, or

Cisco instructors

1.If instructor is not in Instructor box,click the Add link to the right

2.Select the Instructor User Group

3.Enter First Name, Last Name and Email

4.Enter Login

5.Click Save

3.Select Certification Program

4.Enter Last Name and Certification ID

5.Click Search

6.Click Associate

2.Select appropriate Learning Methodology Instructor Led = Classroom training Online Facilitated = Virtual instructor led training Self-Paced Web-Based = eLearning

3.Select start and end dates

Email Evaluations

Work with KnowledgeAdvisors to set up email forms

Enroll students in each class MTM distributes emails automatically Response rates typically 65%

Personalize email forms and use reminders Instructors must explain evaluation process

and purpose in class


Hands-On: Enroll Students1. Click Administration > Schedule Training

2. Click Search to the right of Students

3. Search for the recently added class

4. Select Enrollments from the drop-down menu and click Go

5. Enter email addresses manually or copy and paste list of enrollments

6. Click Clean & Sort

7. Click Enroll Students

* This can also be done on the Class Add page if students roster is available at the time of class creation


Paper Evaluations

Only use paper when necessary No computers in class AND Students don’t have email addresses

Collect paper evaluations in class Use Manual Eval Entry tool to enter

evaluations Consider outsourcing paper entry to

KnowledgeAdvisors


Hands-On: Enter Paper Evaluations

1. Click Administration > Manage Evaluations

2. Click Add to the right of Manual Eval Entry

3. Search for class

4. Select Enter Evals and click Go
