The time of both Eids al starts 20 minutes after sunrise andcontinues till Nif-un-Nar-e-Shar. However, it is Mustaab

to delay Eid-ul-Fir al and offer Eid-ul-A al early.

If someone joins the Jamat in the first Rakat after the Immhas uttered the Takbrt, then he should utter the three Takbrt(other than the Takbr-e-Tarma) instantly, even if the Immmay have commenced recitation. Utter three Takbrt only, eventhough the Imm said more than three Takbrt. If the Immbent for Ruk before you uttered Takbrt, then dont utterthem in a standing posture, instead, perform Ruk with theImm and utter the Takbrt in the Ruk. However, if theImm is in Ruk and you think that you can utter theTakbrt and join the Imm in Ruk, then utter them whilst

you are standing, otherwise, utter , perform Ruk and thenutter the Takbrt in Ruk. If the Imm raises his head fromRuk before you finish the Takbrt in Ruk then do notutter the remaining Takbrt; they are no longer required.

If you joined the Jamat after the Imm had performed theRuk then do not utter the Takbrt, utter them when you offerthe remaining part of your al (after the Imm has performed

Salm). Do not raise your hands when uttering the missedTakbrt in Ruk.

If you join the Jamat in the second Rakat, then dont utter

the missed Takbrt of the first Rakat now, instead, utter themwhen you perform the remaining part of your al. Likewise,if you succeed in uttering the Takbrt of the second Rakatwith the Imm, its all right, otherwise, the same ruling as mentionedabove with regard to the first Rakat would apply.

If someone missed the whole Jamat of Eid-al, whether hecouldnt join the Jamat at all or his al became invalid dueto any reason after joining, then if possible, he should join Jamat

elsewhere; otherwise he cannot offer it (without Jamat). However,it is preferable for him to offer four Rakt of Chsht al.

After the Eid al, the Imm should deliver two Sermons. The acts that are Sunna for the Jumua Sermon are alsoSunna for the Eid Sermon; likewise, the acts that are Makrfor the Jumua Sermon are also Makr for the Eid Sermon. There are only two differences between both the Sermons.Firstly, it is a Sunna for the Imm not to sit before the first

Sermon of Eid al whereas Imms sitting before first Sermon

of Jumua is a Sunna. Secondly, in the Eid Sermon, it is a

Sunna for the Imm to recite nine times before the firstSermon, seven times before the second Sermon and fourteen

times before coming down from the pulpit while uttering theseTakbrt is not Sunna for Jumua Sermon.

Following acts are Mustaab on the Eid Day:

    1. Getting hair cut (Get your hair cut according to Sunna, not according to the English styles).

    2. Cutting Nails.3. Having a bath.4. Using Miswk (This is in addition to the oneused during

    Wuu).

    5. Wearing nice clothes, either new or washed ones.6. To apply perfume.7. Wearing a ring (Islamic brothers are allowed to wear only

one silver ring which weighs less than 4.5 Masha. Theremust be only one gem in the ring; they shouldnt wear thering without a gem either; there is no limit for the weightof the gem. They are not allowed to wear more than onering. Men cannot wear the ring made of any other metal

except silver with the afore-mentioned conditions)

    8. Offering Sal-tul-Fajr in the Masjid of ones locality.9. Before going to Eid-ul-Fir al, eating some dates in

odd numbers such as 3, 5, 7 etc. If dates are not available,

then eat something sweet. If nothing is eaten before theal, there will be no sin, but if nothing is eaten till Sal-tul-Ish, he will be rebuked.

    10. Performing the Eid al at a place that is designated forperforming the Eid al (Eid-G).

    11. Going to the Eid-G on foot.12. Although there is no harm in using conveyance, walking

on foot is better for those who can do so; there is no harmat all in returning by conveyance.

    13. Going to the Eid-G from one path and returning fromthe other path.

    14. Paying the adaqa-e-Fir before the Eid al (this is better, but if you couldnt pay it before the Eid al, pay it afterthe al).

    15. Expressing happiness.16. Donating adaqa in abundance.17. Heading towards the Eid G (al area) calmly, in a

    dignified manner, with lowered gaze.

    18. Congratulating each other.19. Shaking hands and embracing one another after the Eid

al as Muslims usually do; it is a good act because it

expresses happiness. However, embracing a youngattractive boy may lead to allegation.

    20. Utter the following Takbr in low voice while on your wayto the Eid-G to offer Eid-ul-Fir al and utter itloudly while heading for the Eid-G to offer Eid-ul-Aal.

All is the greatest. All is the greatest. There is noneworthy to worthy of worship except All and All is the

greatest. All is the Greatest and all the praise is for All.

In most cases, there are the same rulings for Eid-ul-A as forEid-ul-Fir. However, there are a few differences; for example,it is Mustaab not to eat anything before the Eid al on Eid-ul-A regardless of whether or not one is performing thesacrifice (of cattle), but if one eats something, still there is no

    harm. (

    1. The Takbr is called Takbr-e-Tashrq. Uttering this Takbr once

loudly is Wjib whereas uttering it thrice is preferableafter all Far al that were offered with the primary

Jamat of the Masjid from the Fajr al of 9th to the Aral of 13thil-ajja-tul-arm.

    2. It is Wjib to utter Takbr-e-Tashrq immediately afterperforming the Salm. However, one may utter the Takbras long as he has not done any such act that negates the Bin(resumption, rejoining) ofal. For instance, if someoneexited the Masjid or invalidated his Wu deliberately orengaged in talking, though forgetfully, Takbr would no

longer remain Wjib for him in all these cases. However, ifhis Wu became invalid unintentionally, he should utterthe Takbr.

    3. Takbr-e-Tashrq is Wjib for the one residing in a city orthe Muqtad following a resident Imm in al even ifthe Muqtad (the one following the Imm in al) is atraveller or a villager; however, if travellers and villagersdo not follow a resident Imm in al, Takbr is notWjib for them.

    4. If a resident offered al under the Iqtid of a traveller,Takbr will be Wjib for the resident, but not for the travellerImm.

    5. It is not Wjib to utter Takbr after Nafl, Sunna and Witral.

    6. It is Wjib to utter Takbr after Sal-tul-Jumua; one shouldutter it after the al of Eid-ul-Aas well.

    7. Takbr is Wjib for the Masbq (the one missing one ormore Rakt), but he is to utter it having performed hisown Salm (after offering his missed Rakt).

    8. Takbr is not Wjib for the Munfarid (the one offeringal individually). (Ghuniya-tul-Mustaml, P526,Religious book house) However, he should also utter it as,according to aiban, Takbr is Wjib even for theMunfarid.

How excellent the international non-political religious movement

of the Qurn and Sunna, Dawat-e-Islami and its MadanQfilas are! An Islamic brother who lives at Shalimar Town(Markaz-ul-Auliy Lahore) gave the following statement:

I was an extremely wicked person, I had indulged in manyevils such as watching films and dramas daily, teasing girls,

friendship with loafers and wandering with them till late night.Even my relatives did not like to meet me, they would resentwhen I went their home and would prevent their childrenfrom meeting me. Luckily, the dark night of my sins turnedinto a bright morning when a devotee of the Rasl belongingto Dawat-e-Islami met me very politely and tried to persuade

me to travel with the Madan Qfila. Impressed by his politebehaviour and his sincere invitation, I travelled with theMadan Qfila during which the company of the devotees ofthe Rasl caused a Madan revolution in my life.

! The company of devotees of the Rasl in the

Madan Qfila led to a Madan transformation in the heart ofthis sinner and evil man. I received the gift of repentance aswell as the enthusiasm to dress according to the blessedSunna, and I began to wear the green turban. The very samerelatives that once used to avoid me now hug me affectionately.I was once the worst in my family but now I have

become the dearest due to the blessings of the Madan Qfilasof Dawat-e-Islami.
