Being replaced with the ODA X6‐2HA which will use the newer processors and flash storage in a highly available configuration. Details not yet available.

• ODA X5‐2 and X6‐2 HA configurations only• Two database nodes• Locally attached disk shelf (or shelves) available to both nodes

• ODA_BASE is the primary virtual machine on both database nodes

• ODA_BASE has access to the storage• ODA_BASE makes that storage available to other VMs

• Inherent dependency on ODA_BASE for all other VMs• If ODA_BASE goes down, VMs on that node lose access to storage

• Databases must run in ODA_BASE• Other application components run in guest VMs
