we’ve scored the gallery space for something like a month beginning in february!

i had a great 3 hour long chinwag and pitch with these two good guys who run a small gallery space down redchurch street, luke and bradley. i pitched the basic premise of an installation piece, based on our rolling discussions over the last month or so, and our thesis research.

the idea i spoke of [and we all got rather excited by] is a simplified version of the ideas you and i were discussing before and so we’ll have to agree on that - but i think they genuinely enjoyed the ideas behind it!

want to meet for lunch tomorrow to plan it out? [i’m at a team boozer after work today]

13the november 2010hello bradley and luke,

thought i would do some sort of cyber-introduction thing to break the ice, though it would be really good to meet up with you guys in the next week or so.

i’m the guy sean is doing the exhibition with.

very excited about the whole prospect of getting a piece of research/[art?] in an exhibition.

24th november 2010 18:55vincent

sean and myself have been chatting with luke and bradley recently about a proposal for an exhibit in the gallery space in lo records [i think you know the space]

for this installation we propose two objects and a short film. it is essentially going to be a piece of research exploring our relationship with the space we are in and how it is perceived.

so to cut to the chase, would you be interested in designing the audio to accompany the film, to create a more immersive environment when watching the film?

stephen•24th november 2010 19:07stephen

no. get stuffed.

vince•24th november 2010 19:08stephen

megalolz!

yeah, totally.

i’ve actually been asked to do something very similar twice very recently and i need to record this ep.. i’ve barely started! so i’m not sure how much time i’ll have.

when are we talking about and what kind of thing are you after?

14th december 2010dear lorens

sean and stephen here. how are things up in dundee?

meta architecture is the title of our new work. it will explore themes that we were researching into in our 5th year. [remember the video we made?]

we want the event to have two nights; the opening night and a night where we invite a guest speaker to give a talk and have a discussion afterwords.

our question to you is firstly, would you like to do it? your book has influenced our work and it makes sense to ask you. . . you could plug your book too!

best regards

stephen and sean

can we be objective?

we thought being objective would be the most telling counterpart to our representations of an experience of space.

we found we couldn’t do that; we could only represent objectivity, not achieve it
