On Monday, April 28th, our eighth graders will be having their Confirmation presided by Bishop John Noonan, Father Paz, and Father Ronald. The meaning of this ceremony is very important since they are recognizing and confirming that they are true Catholics and that they have Jesus in their hearts. Our second graders will be receiving their Holy Communion for the first time on Saturday, April 5th. I ask for your prayers. Let’s teach our students the meaning of these ceremonies. That they are not just to wear a beautiful dress, or for a social gathering, but for our soul to be clean and beautiful before the Lord. May God bless you always, Mrs. Carmen J. School Mass The following is the School Mass schedule for the month of April. Mass will take place in Church at 8:00 AM, as follows:

Friday 4: All School Mass Monday 7: Grades 2nd & 6th Thursday 10: Grades 1st & 7th Tuesday 15: Grade 8th Thursday 17: Grade 3rd & 4th Tuesday 22: Grade 5th

Parents are welcome to attend

STUDENTS MUST WEAR COMPLETE UNIFORM WHEN GOING TO MASS.

NO P.E. UNIFORM PERMITED.

Jean Day

The purpose of the Jean Day during the month of April is to help out with the cheerleaders’ f u n d . Y o u r u s u a l cooperation in supporting the School activities is always appreciated. To wear blue jeans on the designated day is $1.00 .

The jean days for the month of April will be Wednesday, the 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th .

Student of the month

The Student-of-the-Month certificate for the month of March will be presented on Friday, March 30, at 8:00 AM. The students will then join the Principal, Mrs. Carmen Alfonso, and the Vice Principal, Mrs. Maria Costello for Lunch in the School Cafeteria.

Parent Teacher Folder

Parent/Teacher folder for the month of April will be sent home as follows:

Monday 14th and 28th.

Early day dismissal

Students will have early dis-missal on Friday, April 4th.

First Holy Communion

First Holy Communion will take place on Saturday April 5, at 5:00 PM. First communicants must be at the Chapel at 4:15 PM

Please remember the following guidelines for the dress code.

Girls • Communion robe and head piece provided by

the school. • White dress, without excessive flair, no wires

or crinoline allowed. • The dress must be at the knee or just under it. • White shoes and white socks or white tights. • No gloves, make-up or dangling jewelry.

Boys • Communion robe and white tie (provided by

the school). • White pants only. • Jacket or blazer is not necessary since they

are wearing a robe. • White shoes and white socks.

Dresses that exceed this length must be shortened.

On Wednesday, April 2nd, all

students will have Spirit day

On Saturday, April 26, the 8th graders will have a

MANDATORY

confirmation retreat.

CONFIRMATION
