Message from Our PCCC President
Greetings, I hope this newsletter finds all well and coping with the heat. Time
sure seems to fly by, half the summer is already over with. So far we have had some great outings and shows, not to mention a great lunch at Pic N Pig in Carthage and for dessert it was off to S&T in Pittsboro and a great trip to The
Richard Petty Museum and Lunch at Sir Pizza in Randleman NC. Thanks to DWJ for getting those together. August is shaping up to be a busy time also, Car shows every weekend until the end of the month and beyond. A special
show August 30th (Sunday) is the benefit for The American Cancer Society at Buffalo Wild Wings in Garner at White Oak. This is put on by Early
Custom Rods and Southern Classic Insurance. With the help of some PCCC and Capital Area Camaros. I hope to see you all at any one or two of the upcoming shows. Stay cool and keep those classics alive.

Canadian version of what
Chevrolet model?
Answer will appear in the September 2015 Edition
FROM JUNE 2015
In 1962 Chevrolet celebrated it’s 50th Anniversary. They introduced a special paint color to
commemorate a half century of production.
Chevrolet mixed up a batch of Anniversary Gold paint (paint code 927), though this would be neither the
first nor the last time Chevrolet or GM would use gold to denote some sort of anniversary or occasion: The 50-millionth GM vehicle produced, a 1955 Chevrolet Bel
Air Sport Coupe, came down the line both painted and plated in gold (and inspired a limited run of code 689 gold-painted four-door sedans), while Chevrolet
and Pontiac introduced special gold paints (Anniversary Gold, paint code 918A for Chevrolet;
Jubilee Gold, paint code ZZZ for Pontiac) in 1958 to mark the 50th anniversary of GM. In 1963, Chevrolet tarted up a 409-powered Impala Super Sport in 927 Anniversary Gold as the division's 50-millionth car.
Chevrolet even built a number of two-tone Anniversary Gold/Ivory White (paint codes 551 and 526) pickups, Suburban's, panel trucks and vans in 1968 to commemorate 50 years of truck production.
