What are Columbus Bucks?Columbus Bucks work like cash for shoppers and are available in $10 increments. All Chamber members can accept Columbus Bucks and simply deposit them like a check at any local bank.
Columbus Bucks make great Christmas Gifts! Stop in to the Chamber during business hours to purchase yours.

Lakeview Future Problem SolversThe Chamber of Commerce Workforce Development arm and Lakeview High School launched a pilot career education program this month.
The students met with several business leaders to hear about real-life challenges they cannot solve in their workplaces. Businesses involved were: Cornhusker Public Power, Pinnacle Bank, ADM, and BMC Transportation from Behlen Mfg. Co.
The students witnessed the problem first-hand, learned about various contributing factors, brainstormed ideas, and then presented their solutions to the business leaders.
The program is designed to
expose students to careers in our community, pique their interest in those careers, help them build a network with business people in the workplace, and to potentially solve some difficult challenges employers face by giving them a fresh perspective and a potential solution. We hope this program will help retain and train young people to meet our future workforce needs.
