Projects undertaken will typically range from £10k to £1million in value and while we operate primarily in the north-

west of England, we are also happy to undertake projects further afield.

Merit specialises in the provision of quality solutions that will see us undertake design development work with any

recognised manufacturer to arrive at the most economic and practical specifications for any given project. Our

services range from external steel frame envelopes, partitioning and the provision of suspended ceilings to dry-

lining, plastering and Joinery.

and have now finished working on MCFC Academy with BAM Construction subcontracting for Preferred Spaces t.

Other works have been on Cleanrooms for the likes of Astra Zeneca, Pfizer and G.S.K.

I have recently been approved as a Rockfon approved installer and I hold an IOSH Managing Safely certificate. All

our operative hold current CSCS cards and we have a mixture of Scissor lift cards for high level works.

Thank you for the opportunity to show you what work we have carried out in the past few

years. I have worked previously on Salford University at Media City, this was the lower 4

floors of a 15 floor building. The main contract was with Overbuys and we carried out the

Ceilings and Partitions on this project. It was not a Merit full project but sub contracted to another firm to do the labour.

Work was carried out at the new ITV studios in Salford Quays. This work entailed the dry lining and

Joinery packages. The dry lining was to plaster everything and the joinery was to install all the door

frames, doors, ironmongery, skirting, IPS Cubicles and also the kitchens on the set. The total value

for this was £175,000.

The programme dictated a duration of 10 months with the bulk of work being in the later part of the

programme. Works was completed on time with quality and professionalism.

MCFA academy is our most current project to date. This work entailed the dry lining to 3 floors of a

curved building.

The 2nd floor being 5* bedrooms to facilitate the 1st team footballers. The acoustic rating on these

rooms was in excess of 65dbs

The 1st floor was for the administration offices restaurant and players’ lounge below

The next 2 pictures are of the main staircase leading down to the ground floor. The ceiling was

installed by ourselves with the background wall on the staircase being built by Merit to receive

Armour coat finishing plaster. As the picture above also receiving Armour coat.

The whole building was on a curve

The pool area and ground floor facilities would entice any footballer young or old to want to choose

Manchester City as there club for improvement and training. Shame I’m an Utd fan.

The project for MCFA was in excess of £500,000 and took from November 2013 to October 2014.

The work was to build the walls and ceilings. There were metal frame ceilings with detailed plaster

margins and Ecophon ceiling tiles placed in between these margins.
