GEOINT (short for geospatial intelligence) is the tradecraft of gathering information about the earth using tools such as satellite imagery, laser scanning, and radar signals, and analyzing this information to make intelligent and informed decisions about the earth and activities that take place on and around its surface. We will be asking each scout attending MBA - Sustainability to bring 4 cans of dry goods or food.

The Scouting Slogan is “Do a good turn daily”. This is an opportunity for the scouting community to make a difference in the lives of citizens in our community.

• Location

o The event is located in the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center

• Class fees

o A fee of $20 will be charged for attending MBA Geocaching Workshop

• Scouts

o Scouts must bring a Geocaching Merit Badge book, pen or pencil and notebook.

o Scouts must complete pre-requisites before attending workshop.

• Payment

o A fee of $20 will be charged for attending workshop

o Online Payment can be done by Credit Card, Debit, or Electronic Check.

• Refunds

o There will be a 50% readiness fee assessed on any refund granted.

o For medical reasons, a request may be submitted within 1 weeks after the event,

but a doctor’s note will be required for a refund.

o Refund requests need to be sent to [email protected]

• Uniforms

o All Scouts must wear tan Class A field uniform.

• Weather

o If there is severe weather forecast the day of the event of 1” per hour or more, the

event will be cancelled.

• Food Drive

o We will be conducting a food drive to help families in need. Since the Boys Scout

slogan is Do a Good Turn Daily, we would like to request that each boy bring 4

dry good items such as cans of food. This will allow our Scouts to “Do a Good

Turn” to our fellow citizens of San Antonio! The food will be donated to San

Antonio Food Bank to help assist with their outreach program.

• Prerequisites o Scouts must acquire & bring an Geocaching Merit Badge book, pen or pencil and

notebook.

o Scouts must complete pre-requisites before attending workshop.

o Scouts should complete the following pre-requisites which will not be completed

during class:

▪ Requirement #7 and 8c

o A partial will be given to those Scouts who do not have sufficient knowledge of

each requirement when asked by a counselor.
