Prof. V.K Kapoor is presently working as Director, MERI-College of Engineering and Technology, New Delhi. Born on February 10, 1950, Prof. kapoor graduated from Allahabad University in 1968, Masters in applied Engg. Mathematics from Lucknow University in 1970 and Ph.D. (Biomechanics) from Harcourt Butler Tech. Inst, Kanpur India in 1974.He was awarded research fellowship from Indian Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), Delhi to pursue the Ph.D. work and a recipient of prestigious Senior Research fellowship (SRF) of Atomic Energy Commission of India, Bombay.Prof. Kapoor has wide experience of 40 yrs in teaching and administration at Engineering and Professional Colleges in India & abroad in capacities like Professor & HOD, Dean & Principal/Director (India, Europe and W. Africa). He is known as Institutes builder.He has also served as Registrar NSIT, New Delhi (a prestigious Delhi Govt. Engg.College amongst top 10 in the country) in addition to his academic responsibilities
