The University is in the process of revising most of the Bachelor degree

programmes of general nature (not professional / technical) as per CBCS

guideline of UGC. Based on the opinion of the University authorities, the

School did organize an Expert Committee meeting to prepare the BSW syllabus

(with 112 credits) which could be used for offering the programme under

CBCS scheme' Approval was also taken from the School Board during its l6,l'meeting.

However, BSW curriculum is not listed in UGC for CBCS hence; it is hereby

informed that the School shall be offering the revised version as per the earlierapproval of Phase Zero form of the School Board and the Academic Councilwith 96 credits.

SOSW 19.6.2 There were concerns raised by the members regarding the offer of BSWprogramme under CBCS scheme in some universities. However, there was no

clarity or proof on the issue.

SOSW 19.6.3 After detailed deliberations it ."vas felt that it would be difficult to offer BSW

under CBCS scheme without the approval from the concerned authorities vis-d-vis CBCS committee. It was therefore, suggested that the School will deliberatefurther on the same issue with the concemed authorities in IGNOU who are

looking after the CBCS scheme.

SoSw 19'7 Approval of Phase '3' form for launching Certificate in Tribal Studies(cTRBS)

SOSW 19.7.1 The phase 3 form for launching Certificate in Tribal Studies (CTRBS) wasplaced before the school board members. Based on the approval of the SchoolBoard, Academic Programme Committee as well as the Academic Council,sStanding Committee, the School has developed the six months Certificateprogramme on Tribal Studies. The School proposes to launch this programme

w.e-f. January, 2018, to begin with in English. The programme fee is Rs.1,000/-

including registration fee.

in Tribal Studies was presented before the boarcl members. The School Board

members considered and approved the list of experts- Moderators. evaluators

and paper-Sctters for the Certificate in Tribal Studies
