Outlook and Word play well together. Outlook contacts can be used by Word to do a mail merge. The procedure is the same for labels, letters or emails.

1) Have your addresses and information in your Outlook contacts.2) Open Word and the document you have created or a new empty document.3) Select Mailings off the ribbon4) Use the drop down list under Start Mail Merge to select Step by Step Mail Merge Wizard

5) Select the type of document. We will be doing an E-mail message.

6) Next select the document. We will be using our existing blank document.

8) Next Select Outlook contacts and Choose Contact Folder

9) Next Write your letter. This is where you will place field names from yourOutlook fields.«GreetingLine» adds name with Dear, and other options – note field matcher.

10) Pick other items. The field names should match your contact. Extra fields (your creation) are listed as User fields

11) Preview your messages. Find yours for your screen shot. 12) You are done unless you actually want to send them by completing the merge – see below for

information.13) Select Electronic Mail and fill in the blanks

14) Agree to your contacts and accept the SQL command (Access’s big brother.)15) Check your sent box.
