Bereavement Committee Our Lady of Mercy is blessed to have beautiful ministries to assist families with one of the most difficult things they will ever do - burying a loved one. Our Bereavement Committee helps grieving families when they are hosting a gathering following the services. Assistance with refreshments and hosting is available from our dedicated volunteers.
We are in need of volunteers who can help with these activities! Whether you’ve been touched by the kindness of this committee or just feel called to serve, we would love to have you join us. For more information on becoming part of this ministry, please contact Ms. Michelle Schroeder at 926-1883 or [email protected].
If you are currently a member of this committee, please confirm your contact information with Michelle Schroeder by September 20th.

Altar Flowers MemorialEach week you may honor a loved one with a gift of $150 to dedicate the floral arrangement that adorns our Sanctuary.
Memorial GiftsAt the death of a loved one, many choose in lieu of flowers to encourage friends and family to make a donation to a special charity or cause. Our Lady of Mercy has nourished the spiritual life of so many parishioners and those throughout the Diocese who come here. A Memorial Gift to our Traditions for Tomorrow Building Campaign is a wonderful way to acknowledge the lives of our beloved dead with a gift of loving generosity to the church that has been such a spiritual home. Ms. Caroline Lemann can discuss ways for you to remember your loved one. Consider adding a planned gift in your last will and testament to remember Our Lady of Mercy.

Titus 2 Mothers' Day of ReflectionSaturday, September 14th 8:00 am - 3:00 pm Parish Activity Center
Why “Titus 2?” The second chapter of Titus in the Bible challenges women to share wisdom and encouragement about marriage and motherhood with other women. That kind of community can be tough to come by in today’s world, though. We are answering this beautiful call as a parish faith community to grow in friendship and speak encouragement to one another. Join us for a day when real women from the parish share their stories and wisdom about marriage and motherhood. None of our speakers have it all figured out, but sometimes, that’s exactly what we need to hear!
We'll visit the topics of "Tackling 'Mom Guilt' and the Dangers of Comparison" and "Disenchanted: Speaking Truth, Hope, and a Sense of Humor into Real-Life Marriage."
• Find a breakout session that speaks to you - "Finding Work-Life Balance and Peace as a Working Mom" - presented by Rachel Beyer and Jill Fruge
• "Challenges in Marital Intimacy and NFP. Real-life Stories and Encouragement from Your Sisters in the Pew" - presented by Erin Franco, Danielle Laird, Heidi Michiels, and Stephanie Stumpf
• "Parenting Teens and Adult Children: Wisdom from the Trenches" - presented by Tina Grant, Suzanne Kellerman, Tina LaHaye, Ursula Laville, and Angele Peek
Register for the event at: www.olomchurch.com Deadline to register is September 8th.

Called By Faith Walking Toward EternityTuesdays starting September 10th 9:00 am - 11:30 am Parish Activity Center
Walking Toward Eternity is an inspiring series designed to help you live your faith more fully by developing and nurturing characteristics that are essential to the Christian life. Through daily prayer and meditation with Scripture, you will be drawn into an intimate and life-changing encounter with Christ. As you prayerfully reflect on God’s Word, you will begin to hear the subtle ways God is speaking to you, and you will be challenged to set aside those things in your life that keep you from growing closer to Him. By putting the fruits of your study into practice, you will be able to make real changes in your life, changes that will make you more like the person God created you to be.
