6. What have you learnt about technologies from the process of

constructing this product?

Main tools on Photoshop 6 I used.

• Pen tool-this is the tool I used to cut out my pictures and is the icon of the fountain pen.

• This is a very accurate tool to use because you can go round the picture with ease and gives a good finished product.

Main tools on Photoshop 6 I used.

• Editing threshold- This was the tool I used to give my photo the dark shadow look to it, it did well in giving me my desired effect and looks good on the finished product.

• As you can see there are two different spectrums on the threshold level and dependant on the effect of light or dark you want you have to mess around with it.

Main tools on Photoshop 6 I used.

• This was my final background I used, but with It I had to edit the grayscale to give it the same look as my magazine, this will be shown on my front cover later.

• When edited I feel this photo was integral to completing my magazine and making it more whole.

Main tools on Photoshop 6 I used.

• Grayscale- this was the technique in turning a normal colored photo grey and gave my double page spread a better look and worked well in grey rather than color.

• I also had to adjust the grayscale of my picture on my front cover to give it the desired effect.

Main tools on Photoshop 6 I used.

• Final stages- I had to put the grayscale photo and the threshold edited photo on separate slides and then finally put them both together.

• I then had to change the colour of the t-shirt to give it the look of the magazine with the strong pinks, I feel this image leaves a stronger effect on people than a normal photo that has not been edited.

I have showed you the two photos in this way to show you the stronger effect the edited photo on the right gives you compared to the normal photo, never the less I thing that the photo on the left is still a useable photo on the front cover of a magazine but it would not create the same effect as the edited photo.

Edited photos used in magazine.

•This is my final version of my magazine with the edited photo and background, I feel this leaves a stronger effect on readers and lets them involved there own opinions on the work

•In creating the titles I had to use the font jager sf and then change the colour to pink and use the stroke tool to give it the white boarder around the writing and the two lines down the side

Edited photos used in magazine.

• This is the final design of my contents page where I used the photo I gray scaled, I also used various editing techniques that I used in my versions of my front cover like the Jager font, and the stroke effect on my writing and page numbers.
