Installation Guide

When servicing any vehicle be sure to follow all safety procedures. First, make sure that

when lifting the vehicle that you are using the appropriate jack for the weight of the vehicle.

Make sure before going underneath any vehicle that it is properly supported with sturdy jack

stands and on level ground so that the vehicle doesn’t fall or slide off of the jack and onto you. As

with any automotive repair, make sure you have the appropriate tools to do the job so you don’t

damage any parts on the vehicle. There is a list of tools needed included in these instructions.

Safety glasses and mechanic gloves should also be worn for your protection.

Be sure to follow the instructions in the order that they are given. The instructions are in a

certain order for a reason and improper installation could lead to damage to your vehicle or the

parts. Keep in mind that if you damage the parts during installation you will be responsible for

the replacement parts.

Take precaution not to exceed the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR), or the maximum

load recommended by the manufacturer. It is important that all vehicle's Owner Manuals

recommendations are followed for your own safety and to prevent damage to the vehicle.

Once you are ready to disable the ride light, you will need to disconnect the ground battery

cable (-) to prevent electrical shock/malfunction.

• Floor Jack • Jack Stands • Metric Wrenches • Screw Drivers (Phillips and Flat Head) • Wire Cutter/Stripper/Crimping Tool • Level Work Surface • Spring Compressor (If Applicable) • Allen Wrenches

Front Removal Instructions 1. Remove the tires and unbolt the air line

from the top of the strut. ( See Figure #1)

2. Unbolt the sway bar. (See Figure #2) Fig. 2

3. Unbolt the lower control arm that is attached to the strut from the frame of the car. (See Figure #3)

4. Loosen the set screws in the strut and the lower control arm falls free. (See Figure #4)

5. Unbolt the head mounts from the body and the strut will fall free. NOTE: Do not unbolt the center strut bolt. (See Figure #5)

Front Sensor Instructions 1. Strut sensors unbolt from the strut with a small allen wrench on the top and the bottom. 2. You may have to remove a rubber insert to get the bolts. 3. Unbolt from the strut and tie back out of the way of any moving parts.

Front Conversion Installation Instructions 1. Line up the bolts on the head of strut

into place. (See Figure #1)

2. Jack lower control arm into place, reconnecting the strut to the ball joint in the control arm. (See Figure #2) Fig. 2

3. Be sure not to over tighten the set screws, however, they should be snug. (See Figure #3) Fig. 3

4. Bolt lower control arm back into place and bolt up the sway bar arm. (See Figure #4) Fig. 4

5. Do this for both sides and then replace the tires back on the car and set the car back on the ground/floor before tightening head bolts.

Rear Strut Removal & Installation Instructions Rear Removal Instructions

1. Unbolt the air line from the top of the strut (The air line is located under the plastic cover in the back corner of the back glass). (See Figure #1)

2. Cut the strut sensor wire. (See Figure #2)

3. Unbolt the bottom strut mount. (See Figure #3)

4. Unbolt the lower control arm from lower part of chassis. (See Figure #4)

5. Pull wheel assembly out to give the lower control arm clearance to fall free.

6. Unbolt the strut head from the upper mount (3 bolts) from the upper back glass. The strut will be ready to pull out. (See Figure #5)

Rear Conversion Installation Instructions 1. Line up the head for the top tower and bolt head in the car loosely. (See Figures #1 - 2) Fig. 1 Fig. 2

2. You will need to pull down on the lower control arm so that the strut lines up straight. (See Figure # 3) Fig. 3

3. Install lower strut mount to the control arm and use a floor jack to raise the lower control arm. (See Figure #4) Fig. 4

4. Bolt the sway bar and wheel assembly back to the lower control arm. If applicable not all cars will have a rear sway bar. 5. Repeat steps 1 – 4 for the opposite side.

6. Put the tires back on the car.
