UPCOMING SCHEDULE

NEWS & NOTES

The Hockey East Game of the Week on NESN turns its eyes to Durham as Vermont travels to New Hamp-shire on Friday. The Catamounts and Wildcats did not meet on the ice during the COVID-shortened 2020-21. UNH holds a 4-1-0 mark over the last five meetings.

UConn is off to its best start under Mike Cavanaugh and its best ever since the 1998-99 season at 6-2-1, including a 4-1-0 mark in league play. They put that mark on the line as they welcome #16 Boston College to Hartford on Friday. The programs met four times last season as the Eagles took a 2-1-1 mark over the Hus-kies in league play. The Huskies then clash with #12/13 Providence on the road. Those two teams met four times, splitting the two sets with a 2-2-0 mark each.

#17 Northeastern, fresh off a home tilt against Harvard Monday night, travels to UMass Lowell on Friday night on NESN+. The Huskies carry a 7-3-0 mark over the River Hawks dating back to 2017-18 and are cur-rently riding a four-game winning streak. Since dropping the first game of the season at Arizona State, UMass Lowell is enjoying a six-game unbeaten run (4-0-2). Merrimack travels to Maine for the first time since dropping a two-game set to the Black Bears on Jan. 31 - Feb. 1, 2020. The Warriors are looking for their first victory over Maine since Feb. 3, 2018 and their first regulation win since Feb. 19, 2016.

Boston University is set to square off with Massachusetts in a home-and-home set. The Terriers and Minute-men met early in 2020-21, with BU taking both games.
