Memory Basket Book Report
Dear Parents,In an effort to continue promoting different genres, our
upcoming book report will be in the area of fiction/fantasy. Thebook report will begin on March 4th and will be due Friday, April15th. The book should be at least 75 written pages.
Memory Basket directions:1. Select a character from your book.2. Make a list of things that were important to that character.3. Borrow or make a small basket.4. Create, borrow, or find things that represent the items on
your list and put these items into the basket.5. Select three quotes from this book that "struck" you (touched
you in some way.) Write each one on a note card and put itin the basket. During your presentation, you will explainwhy you picked these quotes and what they meant to yourcharacter.
6. Write a summary about this book. Include the beginning,middle, and end of the story. Write this on one or two notecards and place in the basket.
7. Attach a card to the basket with a ribbon including: title,author, your name, and your chosen character.
8. Be ready to present your basket where you will read yoursummary to the class and give an explanation as to why youselected each item and quote for your Memory Basket.
9. You will be graded on: creativity, information, effort,presentation, and how well you followed directions.
