I believe that as business owners, if God has given you the ideathen your business is God's secret for you to steward. I'mhonored to be able to build services and lead a team to helpyou do just that. We start from strategy and build until youhave a complete business, service or program that you areeffectively serving to the world with GRACE and EXCELLENCE.

The call to create this teaching...I would have never imagined that God would call me to serve in this field ofbusiness. Over the past few years of working with several people onbranding and digital marketing projects, there was a burden birthed in myspirit. The more I worked individually with those who were not only building anew business but new services or switching directions, I started to see apattern. The pattern involved around the language that my clients or potentialclients were using to articulate what they thought they needed to have. Iwas hearing the same phrases from different business owners fromdifferent parts of the world. How are so many people saying the samethings? I noticed that people were creating new services, businesses,programs that they were not really passionate about or had originalstrategies for. I had so many questions. How can I with good conscious take on a projectthat will probably not last? Do I share with this person that they should getmore clarity before moving forward? That does NOT make good businesssense on my part. Am I too involved emotionally in the work that I'm doing?Why can't I just take the project, create it, hand it off and keep going.

I couldn't, so I sat with God about it and I was clear that my company wasgoing to be different. I was to make sure they we were building on a firmfoundation before we proceed to create logos or build websites for clients. You would think that all was well since I understood how I was suppose toproceed right? Nope! I spent a good two months meeting with people onintroductory calls with the idea that I would work with those who had a firmfoundation. I was turning down work and sending people to "get more clarity".I was saving them money and I was not making any. After a few months of this I went back to the Lord again. This led me toschedule a phone call with a mentor and friend. By the end of the call Irealized that I missed something in my interpreting "building on a firmfoundation". I was to help bring clarity to those I was turning away. Here I was wrestling with a passion that God was calling me to release. Hecalled me to lead as a visionary and bring solutions as a strategist. God hadgiven me the message and tools to help Kingdom Entrepreneurs create afirm foundation based on four key areas of a brand. I'm always amazed at how God works. Once I understood what I was to startdoing, I received two invitations in the same month to speak on strategy andidentity. I immediately said yes with the hopes that I would have time to figureout what to teach. I of course put the task up before the Lord and it did not take Him long tospeak back to me about it. Let me introduce you to what was birthed.

The true authentic representation of your brand identity. It's how you show upeveryday. It's not this former or future version of what you want to be knownfor. It's building on the vision that God has shown you about who you are andwhat you represent. Operating in the gift(s) you're called to serve during yourlifespan with God's leading and power.

"People are branding what theywant to become, and not what Icalled them to be."

And He said to me:

Think of branding with the grace of God as being yieldedto His spirit. You're yielded to whatever He wants you to dowith whatever it is He's calling you to create in the earth.Also, when I speak about brand I'm not just speakingpersonal brand. Your brand could be your business,service or program. It could be something new or anotherleg or tier of what God is calling you to create.

How is creating a brand with Grace different?

The whole concept of the way the world teaches branding,is that you brand what you want to be. You brand how youwant people to see you and what you want to be knownfor. You're taught to speak the language of our ideal clientand to know all about their needs. Brand with Grace will challenge the way you were taughtto brand.

How to start and build an a firm foundation?

THE FOUNDATION OF A BRAND STARTS WITH IDENTITY.

Living within you is the Christ who floods you with the expectation of glory! Thismystery of Christ, embedded within us, becomes a heavenly treasure chest ofhope filled with the riches of glory for his people, and God wants everyone toknow it. Christ is our message! We preach to awaken hearts and bring everyperson into the full understanding of truth. It has become my inspiration andpassion in ministry to labor with a tireless intensity, with his power flowingthrough me, to present to every believer the revelation of being his perfect onein Jesus Christ.

Paul was confident in his identify and knew the results and purpose of what hewas called to do. Let's use this scripture and break it down in parts so you canwrite your own brand identity. Keep in mind if you have several services andprograms this may be different for each one. Repeat this process for each newidea that is birthed along your journey.

PAUL'S BRAND IDENTITY:

As you see from the brand identity of Paul listed above, he was clear aboutwhat God wanted to use him to deliver. From this identity we also understandthe importance of inspiration and passion. Paul was propelled by the result ofwhat he was delivering and powered by God's spirit to do as much as he couldwhile he was on this earth.

USE THIS MODEL (COLOSSIANS 1:27-29) TO WRITE YOUR BRAND IDENTITY:

When you know what your message is you know who you're speaking to. When youknow what the goal is and the result you know what success looks like. You can work inand define excellence in what you're called to do. When you're powered by Holy Spirityou work in God's grace and when it gets difficult, you won't give up.

is...I think of it as a true authentic representation of your identity. It's how youshow up everyday. It's not this former or future version of what you want tobe known for. It's building on the vision that God has shown you about whoyou are and what you represent. Operating in the gift(s) you're called toserve during your lifespan with God's leading and power.

Don't feel like you have to rush through any parts of this workbook. Take yourtime writing out your brand identity and messaging. You may want to keep aseparate journal or doc to record your responses as you sit with Holy Spirit. Knowing what God says about what He called you to do is essential becauseHe's not going to change His mind. When you are sure of what God said youcan stand firm no matter what the situation looks like. Again, It may take yousome time just sitting with God and listening to be able to answer thesequestions. Take your time and don't rush through it. If you are not sure, justask Him and be confident that the response you hear is the right one. God wants you to know His thoughts and plans for you and your work. It's nota secret. If you are in need of encouragement or having difficulty sitting withthe Lord and hearing him speak back, I'm including two video resourcesbelow. God will give you influence and you operate in that influence.

PAUL'S AREA OF INFLUENCE:

Everyone of us has a sphere of influence and area that God has called us toserve in. It is important to understand our area(s) of influence and serveconfidently and obediently.

When I was starting to build out, Tech with Tasha, I went back to God severaltimes, 'God are you sure, because you said digital marketing. So... that soundslike this, but is that this? Am I supposed to target certain people'?  Let me share that it was NOT what I could have imagined. Still, as my brandgrows there are layers being revealed. When it comes to knowing where andto whom we are sent, we have to get clarity from the One who whispers Hissecrets to us. We all have an area of influence and we will thrive when weserve from that place.

Let's take another look at areas ofinfluence. For some people, it may be that you'recalled to your city to do something andyou're doing something local. It may be abrick and mortar business. For otherpeople, it may be more global, especially ifyou're online. Your influence could lead youto several different areas or territories orclose partnerships. Focus on understandingyour sphere of influence and operate inwhat God says. Don't put limits on yourselfbased on what you think your reach is orwho you can't work with.

DISCOVER YOUR MESSAGING AND SERVE IT BOLDLY

Discover your message before you build out your visuals. Your message willreach who it needs to reach. Be confident in the areas that God has given youthe wisdom, power and authority to speak about. What topics do I speak about consistently? At least three.

Sit with God about it and...

Now that you have a list of topics that you are passionate about. Beintentional with how you show up to represent your messaging. You shouldbe able to see a pattern in content and people will began to identify you bywhat you consistently voice. Be sure to be okay with repetition. Repetition ishow we learn. Your messaging is something that you're always going speakto, that you can repeat over and over. God is going to constantly fill yourtank with information. You're not going to get bored with these topics. Youwill speak with revelation as you seek God for what He wants you to release.

Talk to the people who hear you the most.

Don't limit your voice to what's going on in the world. Kingdom Entrepreneurshave the ability to tap into what God is doing in their industry. When youbrand with grace you continue to operate in whatever it is that God iscalling you to give out. Your messaging produces the content and yourstrategy for serving it to the world will develop.

When you are developing your visuals, it's important to be creative. Sit with yourmessaging and begin to flow in that creative process. If you could onlydescribe without words and just visuals, where would you start? Here are somekey visual parts of a brand.

Visual FoundationDEVELOP YOUR BRAND VISUALLY

COLORS - What colors come to your mind?You can start with 1-2 primary colors andthen add on accent colors. 

ELEMENTS AND IMAGES - Identify theelements. What additional shapes, patternsor themes represent your brand. Are theseelements consistent with your messaging?

FONTS - Establish fonts for your brand thatrepresent your brands feel and character.

LOGO - This could be a symbol, wording,image or an illustration that represents yourmessaging.
