Significance to the audience: Make sure you mark and label your luggage and that your tea is not ridiculously hot. Preview of main points: “Today I will talk about how I missed my flight, lost my luggage and burned my tongue.” Body I. Missed flight. A). It was my transit flight from New York to here. B). They had switched the terminal to my flight without notice. Transition: “Now I will talk about how I lost my luggage.” II. Lost luggage. A). My luggage never arrived. B). Complained to the baggage people at the airport. C.) Got my luggage two weeks later at the hostel that I was staying at. Transition: “Now let me quickly tell you about how I burned my tongue.” III. Burned tongue. A). Was too excited during my flight. B). Just took a sip without testing the waters first. Conclusion
