    To:VirginiaRepublicanGrassrootsLeadersFrom:DaveRexrode,ExecutiveDirectoroftheRepublicanPartyofVirginiaSubj:ObamapullingoutofVirginiaOverthepastfewdayswehaveseenseveralnewsreportsthattheObamaforPresidentcampaignmightbepullingoutofVirginia.

    WefirstlearnedthroughmediareportsthatformerObamaCampaignManagerDavidPlouffesuggestedthatFlorida,NorthCarolina,andVirginiawerebeyondthePresidentsreachandthattheyweregoingtobuildafirewallaroundNevada,Iowa,NewHampshire,andOhioinalastditchefforttotryandwinthiselection.SincethenwehaveseentheObamacampaignsmostrecentadbuys.OfthesevenbattlegroundstatestheyjustmadeadditionalTVbuysin,Virginiawasdeadlastinspendingwithjusta$199kbuycomparedto$1.6millioninOhio,$722kinNewHampshire,$770kinWisconsin,and$235kinNevada.FolkslikeNBCsChuckToddhavestartedsayingthatVirginiaisslippingawayfromtheDemocrats,andafterthelatestroundofpollsshowingMittRomneywithaleadinVirginiaandGallupnationally

    showingMittRomneyupby6%,momentumisfullyonoursideandIcanunderstandwhytheObamacampaignmightbepullingoutofVirginia.Whilethesereportsappeartobegoodnews,wecannotallowourselvestobelievethem.Wemustspendthelasttwoweeksofthiscampaignrunninglikeweare3-pointsdown.Sinceearlyspring,ourgrassrootsvolunteershavespentuntoldhoursknockingondoorsandtalkingtovoters.Lastweek,ourvolunteersknockedonourone-millionthdoor.Thatsright,Virginiavolunteershaveknockedonoveramilliondoorsandwehavenowmademorethan4.5millionvolunteervotercontacts.OurvolunteershaveworkedtoohardtoletupnowwewillfinishwhatwestartedandwewillwinVirginiaforMittRomneyonNovember6th.

    Wehavetwoweeksleftinthiscampaignandweneedtorunhardthroughthefinishline,electMittRomney,PaulRyan,GeorgeAllen,andourRepublicanCongressionalcandidates,thenwecantakeabreak.DespitethereportsthattheObamacampaignmaybeabandoningtheCommonwealth,wewillnotletupinoureffortstoensureGov.RomneyandtheRepublicanticketwinVirginia.Cleareyes.Fullhearts.Cantlose.
