Membership Benefits Mission Our mission is to position Alberta as the worldwide center of excellence for the Internet of Things technology. Vision Alberta IoT is an association of companies with a core competency in one or more technologies that are used as part of the Internet of Things (IoT). The member companies collaborate to provide a common voice to advance the knowledge, adoption, and growth of the IoT industry within Alberta and throughout the world. Benefits of Membership All members receive access to our monthly meetings and Slack team to network with other members to find ways to collaborate. A major objective of Alberta IoT is to promote our member companies to help them grow. We do this by: • Showing member logos (with website link) on the Alberta IoT website • Forwarding member news through the newsletter and social channels • Providing speaking opportunities • Providing discounts on Alberta IoT and Partner Events • Providing opportunities to exhibit your technology Our Major Objectives: Adoption and growth of the IoT industry within Alberta and throughout the world Advance IoT Technology Promote Growth of the IoT Industry Increase Member Visibility Inform and Educate the Public Expose IoT to Industry and Government

Regular Monthly MeetingsMembers meet on the first Friday of each month at 10:00 am. We focus on the general initiatives of the association, incorporate speakers to benefit the member companies, allow for presentations from member companies, and provide an opportunity for member companies to network and collaborate. We also provide the opportunity for remote members to connect via a conferencing service.

Annual Technical Expo and ConferenceAlberta IoT is committed to positioning Alberta as a worldwide leader and as such, is focusing on putting on a large scale annual event that attracts speakers, exhibitors, and attendees from all over the world. This will be held each spring in a major Alberta city.
Special EventsOn occasion the association will conduct special events to further the collaboration of member companies and the education of the public. These will be planned, funded, and executed on an ad hoc basis.
Some examples of special events may include:
• Evening Social
• Educational Seminar
• Special Guest Lecture
• Pitch Competitions
• Technology Demonstrations
Membership Categories
CoreCore members are IoT technology companies that are the bedrock of the association. These companies are typically the most active in the association, provide the majority of our funding, and receive the greatest visibility through speaking opportunities and promotion of company news. Core members receive a large full colour logo and profile on the website with links to their website and social channels.
EmergingAn Emerging membership is a lower cost category reserved for smaller scale IoT Technology companies. This allows them to be involved in the association at a lower cost. Emerging members will have a grayscale version of their logo and website link placed on the Alberta IoT website.
AssociateThe Associate membership is intended for organizations that have an interest in the activities of Alberta IoT, but are not themselves directly involved in IoT. Common examples include, but are not limited to:
• Government Organizations
• Service Providers
• Other Associations
• Funding Organizations
• Educational Organizations
Associate members will have a grayscale version of their logo and website link placed on the Alberta IoT website.
Student/IndividualIndividuals that are not associated with a company are welcome to join Alberta IoT. They will still receive access to the Slack team, newsletter, and events.
SponsorsSponsors are key to the success of Alberta IoT as they provide enhanced funding to increase the capabilities of the association. These companies will receive a featured logo and full member profile on the Alberta IoT website, mention at events, and opportunities to sponsor events.
