Notes from the On Sex. Hi Everyone, It is so good to be back and what lovely weather we had on Thursday. Edna, Silent Man, Akz Hole and I had been contracted to set the trail for Bill and set off around 11am to lay paper. We went in along the usual path at the corner of the road near the entrance to the quarry. It wasn't as overgrown as I had thought it would be and we made good time through the 'farm' and out the other side. Then left at the junction and along the pathway skirting the stream. We crossed over to the right away from the hill and made our way through the bush, up the bank and onto the path leading from the Indian Temple. Left here along and up again following the track. An easy trial so far but my month long holiday and absence of exercise did start to aggravate my already slow pace as we continued up and along the track. We laid a bar further up and then retreated and entered the bush to the left (or right..depending on whether you take it as retreating or not). Here we started the main climb, rising slowly at first through rocks and soft ground. I must admit that I would have loved a piggy back....Heaven!! Up we went through more rocks and it was fascinating to see how the roots of some trees had wrapped themselves around the boulders and you only wonder how long it must have taken! On and up we went (around 400m high we went in the end) until we were wondering where the trail was to go down. We searched around for a while to get a good route and then I spotted a path on the left and we climbed up that way and came to the point I was aiming for. Silent Man and Akz Hole then blazed the way through and we started on the second half of the run. With all the rain we have been having certain parts were overgrown and fallen branches marred the way in places. On and down we went, crossed rocks with a fallen trunk as a bridge until finally exiting the bush halfway along the ON IN track and http://www.hashhouseharrietspenang.com E -mail: [email protected]

we headed home! Akz Hole clocked it at about 4.5Km, so a medium run. The first runner to emerge in the evening was Goodyear who took 1 hr 10mins. Our newest members Money Manfred and Sioe accompanied by Jaya (Black German) came back in the dark after about 2hrs 20 mins. It was Sioe's first hash run with the Harriets and it wasn't an easy one especially in the dark, so kudos to her for finishing. Thanks also to Jaya for accompanying them.

Special NoteSpecial NoteThe Penang Hash House Harriers (Monday men) have their 2,500th run celebration on October 15th. Because they were the first Hash in Penang and we were the second, there has always been a strong link between us. It would be great if a large contingent of Harriets supported this run. If you have not already signed up for the run and you would like to, please contact a committee member or Kali.

4040thth Anniversary AnniversaryOur 40th Anniversary will be celebrated on Saturday February 18th 2012. This is such a milestone and it would be fantastic if all our members supported the event. We will do our utmost to make it a memorable event. The venue will be the quarry and the registration will start at 1.00pm and the frolics will continue until 12.00 midnight. In order to avoid hassles and difficulties the fee for all comers will be RM 50. However, members who support the event will be rewarded with a reduction of RM20 on next year’s subscription fee.If you have ideas for entertainment items etc. please talk to any member of the committee.Hope to see you all there. A blonde, a brunette and a redhead all tried out for the same job as road stripers.

The boss told them they would all work for three days and whoever painted the most would get the job.

At the end of the first day the redhead had painted 3 miles, the brunette had painted 2.5 miles and the blonde had painted 10 miles. The boss was so exited he told her to keep it up and the job was hers.

The next day the redhead painted 5 miles, the brunette 5.6 miles and the blonde 4 miles.

The boss told her not to worry, "You still have a good lead.

So, on the third day the redhead had painted 6 miles, the brunette 5 miles and the blonde only one mile.

The boss was so disappointed, he asked the blonde, "What went wrong, you were doing so good."

She said, "Well, that bucket of paint keeps getting further and further away."
