connections with local Small- and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), Melco Resorts & Entertainment has recently

launched the “Knowing You, Knowing Us” campaign to promote communication and mutual understanding so as to

support the advancement of SMEs.

The “Knowing You, Knowing Us” campaign is Melco’s latest effort in supporting local SMEs, further

demonstrating the company’s commitment in assisting SMEs to grow and identify business opportunities in the

industry.

The campaign introduces Melco’s procurement categories and procedures, which enables SMEs to develop a

better understanding of Melco’s operational requirements, and at the same time help SMEs identify products and

services they can offer Melco and the industry.

Under the campaign, a seminar on Operating Supplies & Equipment (OS&E) and Printing Categories standards

recently took place, and was attended by more than 50 local SMEs, including business members of the Macau Chamber

of Commerce, Industrial Association of Macau and Macau Union Suppliers Association.

The event saw the attendance of more than 80 representatives from SMEs from varying sectors, including

Marketing, Printing, OS&E, Room Accessories and Information Technology.

During the event, participants were taken on a tour of Melco’s integrated resort, Studio City, to experience

the property from the perspective of guests thus giving SMEs the chance to get a deeper understanding of how their

products and services may be utilised.

The day’s activities concluded with a business matching session, where SMEs showcased their products to

Experience Tour & Business Matching Sessions.

During a recent workshop, participants learnt about Melco’s sustainable procurement initiatives and its

broader sustainability strategy, as part of its environmental goals of creating a more sustainable future for

future generations and the planet.

The workshop, attended by over 30 local SME representatives, also brought to attention factors to consider in

sustainable procurement, including the environmental impact and reusability of products and services, an SME’s

role within a sustainable supply chain, and awareness of shifting customer demands.

A networking session enabled Melco’s Supply Chain Department and workshop participants to convene, to

jointly pursue further sustainable products and solutions, and catalyse potential collaborative business

opportunities.

One of the workshop participants Karen Chu, Executive Director of local Paris Store, said that the event has

effectively raised awareness of sustainable procurement.

“I think all of us will review and consider upgrading our offerings,” Chu said, “This is a positive event

to help to boost the overall profitability of SMEs in Macau as a whole. We, for example, can pay more attention to

sourcing sustainable products for the market and try to avoid those with excessive packaging. We will also explore

opportunities to attain recognised sustainability certifications to complement our company’s growth.”

Wynn Garden of Earthly Delights

Taking place at both Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace, ‘Wynn – Garden of Earthly Delights’ offers an artistic

journey through contemporary art, contributing to an immersive cultural atmosphere in which the entire city

becomes an art gallery and an art garden.

The exhibition is inspired by the work of talented Dutch painter Hieronymus Bosch, who painted a stunning

masterpiece called ‘Garden of Earthly Delights’ during the Renaissance. A range of modern and contemporary art

treasures will be displayed, created by world re-nowned artists including Edoardo Tresoldi, Herb Alpert, Jennifer

Steinkamp, Refik Anadol, Robert Indiana, Sam Francis, MAD Architects and many more. It takes audiences into a

fascinating world of innovation and creativity through various media such as paintings, installations and digital

art pieces.

In addition, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Macau Special Administrative Region’s return to the

motherland, Wynn has specially created the ‘Love at Wynn” Outdoor Art Space’ featuring the work of invited

local artists, including graffiti artist Mr. Lam Kahou and oil painter Ms. Ieong Wansi. Under the themes of

‘Human Paradise’ and ‘Leisure Garden,’ the artists have shared their personal feelings about the city’s

achievements over the 20 years since the return of the Macau Special Administrative Region to the motherland, as

well as reflecting their expectations of Macau’s future. Together, they have created a 20-meter long, large scale

stereoscopic illusion art installation.

Another highlight of the art space is the giant three-dimensional Chinese character ‘Love’ created by local

designers. Featuring an interactive creation element that promotes environmental protection, the art piece imparts

Wynn’s blessings to Macau on the 20th anniversary of its return to the motherland. The piece was inspired by

Robert Indiana’s art piece ‘The American Love.’ Indiana is also one of the artists featured in the ‘Wynn –

Garden of Earth-ly Delights’ exhibition.

Social Affairs and Culture of the Macao Special Administration Region Government, “Art Macao” is an important

Sands China All That’s Gold Does Glitter

Sands China’s ‘All That’s Gold Does Glitter – An Exhibition of Glamorous Ceramics’ features over 90

ceramic masterpieces from outstanding contemporary ceramic artists representing 13 different countries and

regions. It is the largest and highest-level ceramic art exhibition held in the Greater Bay Area in 2019.

The exhibition was curated over the course of 10 months by internationally renowned ceramic artist Caroline

Cheng, who convened a meeting of 27 fellow artists from all over the world, including herself, to create ceramic

works under the theme of ‘All That’s Gold Does Glitter’ – a nod to Sands China’s name in Chinese, “Golden

Sand.”“With 2019 being a celebratory year marking the Macau SAR’s 20th anniversary and Sands Macao’s 15th

anniversary, Sands China is very pleased to support the inaugural “Art Macao” with this exhibition,” said Dr.

Wilfred Wong, president of Sands China Ltd. “Our company understands the importance of culture and arts, and we

are excited to have an internationally renowned artist of Ms. Cheng’s calibre curate this unique exhibi-tion for

us. We hope the exhibition can help promote Macau’s cultural and creative in-dustries, and inspire local Macau

artists in their personal and professional creative endeavours.”With China being the birthplace of porcelain,

Sands China selected it as the exhibition’s featured art form in homage to Macao’s rich history as a vital

center in the global ceramics trade. Macau was an important hub in the Maritime Silk Road, as testified by the

many fragments of 16th and 17th century Kraak porcelain still buried on the coast. The powerful connection between

ceramics and Chinese and Macanese civilization made it an ideal choice for Sands China’s exhibition.

In addition, the exhibition is loaning four of its feature works to the Macao Museum of Art for display in “Art

Macao” main exhibition: Jason Walker’s intricately illustrated Wildflowers, Trudy Golley’s illuminated Great

Wave, Vipoo Srivilasa’s whimsical Plantimals, and Cheng’s own strikingly beautiful butterfly dress Prosperity,

embroidered with porcelain butterflies and glazed with real gold. Variants of the dress are displayed around the

world, including the British Museum, the National Museum of China and the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, among

others.

artists, Benoit+Bo, in two other projects under Art Macao, including the outdoor art installation Happy Heads

located at the leisure area in Jorge Alvares Square, and the Prosperous Years art exhibition at the Old Court

Building. The Prosperous Years art exhibition is also supported by the Consulate General of Belgium in Hong Kong

and Macau.

SJM ART Appreciation Legacy

SJM’s ‘ART • Appreciation • Legacy’ acknowledges cultures of both East and West and plays host to seven

multitudinous exhibitions at Grand Lisboa, Lisboa, Oceanus at Jai Alai, Ponte 16 Resort and Regency Art Hotel. Ms.

with its roots in Macau, pledges support for Macau in leveraging this distinctive characteristic through

sponsorships for arts and culture activities and by nurturing young generations for the benefit of cultural

inheritance.”Coin du Jardin, a painting by the world-famous post-impressionist French artist Paul Gauguin, is on

public display at Grand Lisboa, Macau for the first time in Asia. Created in 1885 at a pivotal moment in

Gauguin’s art career, the painting marks the end of a long period of working towards becoming a professional

artist rather than an amateur and a businessman, and the beginning of a quest to explore new places and subjects.

In commemoration of Wu Guanzhong’s centennial birthday, a total of nine paintings are featured in the

exhibition: A Pair of Swallows, Flower Basket after Song Masters, Hibiscuses, Lion Grove Garden, The Three Gorges

of the Yangtze River, Sunrise in Mount Huang, Mount Yulong, Spring Shoots among Bamboos, and Lotus, with A Pair of

Swal-lows exhibited at the hotel lobby and the other eight paintings in the Peach Blossom Room on the seventh

floor of Grand Lisboa.

Visions of Chinese Tradition assembles the captivating creations of six acclaimed Chinese lacquer artists.

Chinese lacquer painting is derived from the longstanding lacquer art, and Jiangxi has been a major lacquer art

town in China since ancient times. Its lacquer paintings are one of the representatives of modern lacquer art,

distinguished by its use of traditional techniques to present innovative and expressive ideas and winning acclaim

for its varied styles and vivid colors. Participating artists include Huang Gui-wen, Zeng Jun-yi, Gong Guo-ping,

Wang Xi-mei, Xiong Jian-xin and Liu Kuan.

Another exhibition – Art in Motion: Video Art from Portugal – displays videos of contemporary Portuguese

artists to the public. This show is the result of a selection of 17 pieces, produced by renowned Portuguese

artists with different backgrounds, paths and postures. They have adopted video as the chosen means of

expression.

永利多年來堅持舉辦一系列國情教育活動,包括國情專題系列講座、國情研修班以及各類展覽參觀活動,弘揚愛國愛澳精神。國慶

之際,永利舉辦了「我和我的祖國」分享會,並邀請本澳資深學者兼立法會議員龐川教授及柳智毅博士擔任主講嘉賓,向超過

600名團隊成員分享國家飛躍發展的歷程,讓大家更深刻地認識祖國發展的歷程和前景。

金沙度假區與teamLab合作 全新美術館明年元月開幕

【特訊】澳門金沙度假區和藝術團隊teamLab攜手合作,將於2020年1月在澳門威尼斯人R推出全新大型美術館。

數學家和建築師等各個領域的專家,通過團隊創作去融合藝術、科學、技術、設計和自然界。迄今為止,teamLab在全球舉辦了非

常受歡迎的展覽,他們出色的藝術作品在社交媒體上獲廣泛分享。

在這個探究傳統物質概念的美術館裡,訪客和友人一起,全身心沉浸於這身體和作品界線模糊不清的作品群中,與作品融為一體

濠持續與澳門勞工局等本地勞工部門緊密合作,為殘疾人士提供永久性工作崗位,溝通聆聽他們所需,並按個別情況作出適當調整

新濠義工兼運動員賭桌營運副總監何年才分享說:「今年已是我第三年參賽,能夠有機會與澳門特奧會運動員組成隊伍合力作賽是
