Gianfranco Perissinotto graduated from the vocational school "Lepido Rocco" in Motta di Livenza and, at the mere age of 16, had aiready begun working as a turner. Two years later he was in Germany involved in the construction of refineries. Professionalism and competence took him abroad once again where he collaborated in the creation of pumping plants and refineries in Sardinia, Nigeria and Algeria. In 1978, at the age of 36, his entrepreneurial adventure called Mekanotech begins.

Mekanotech operates in the field of light, structural and mechanical metalwork specialising in the production of mechanical components for the energy sector as well as for large plants and industrial machinery. At the origin of Mekanotech lies Officine Meccaniche, a small firm specialised in mechanical engineering, founded by Gianfranco Perissinotto, in 1978.

Officine Meccaniche, in rapid expansion, immediately concentrated its production on mechanical components for the energy sector. Mekanotech was founded in 1995 as a subsidiary dedicated to the assembling of mechanical parts, thus providing the Client with a comprehensive service, with the idea of rationalising both time and resources. Since 2002, Mekanotech has been

backed up by BieBi, a company established due to the necessity of optimising the production processes for the engineering of structural and heavy metal works, while keeping a perfect track of quality and timing. Mekanotech, after its merger with Officine Meccaniche, is now a single business entity, specialised in mechanical metalwork.

Mekanotech counts almost 100 employees, among which production line workers, technical office personnel and administrative and sales staff. The work team is solid, trusted, efficient and highly- qualified. In particular, the workers specialised in mechanical

engineering with cutting-edge CNC machining centres, contribute to the company’s continuous technological development, by means of permanent training aimed at updating their competences. Up until today, in just over a decade, the workforce at Mekanotech

has practically increased fivefold. Company specialisation, growing job orders in strategic and developing sectors, together with consolidated bonding with the larger clients, foresee a further increase in the number of employees.

The work of Mekanotech is based on a consolidated know-how of metalwork and its work application. This constitutes a wealth of knowledge and competence built up during the 30 years of constant collaboration with important and highly-qualified companies, both Italian and foreign, mainly in the energy sector and that of large industrial plants.

At Mekanotech, experience goes hand-in-hand with a strategic approach, strongly oriented towards technological updating. So as to assure the constant, high quality of its products, reliable timing and ever shorter delivery times, the company has an efficient organisation with a strong technological component. This means that the company has had

to adopt an investment plan aimed at continuously modernising and updating the machinery with regards to the machining equipment and CNC machinery, in particular. Modernisation of the machinery goes hand-in-hand with the permanent training of specialised personnel employed in the manufacturing process.

Mekanotech, through BieBi, its specialised production unit, carries out structural work on various materials, both metal (iron, steel, aluminium, copper, bronze) and plastic. At Mekanotech the familiarity with the materials on behalf of the operators, combined with the long, hands-on

experience in this field, combines synergistically with the use of technology, thus allowing for precise workmanship with controlled procedures, within reliable time frames. The company makes use of automatic band saws for cutting as well as modern devices for traditional and robotised welding.

The company avails itself of advanced technology, programming the work to be carried out with CAD-CAM systems. The horizontal and vertical CNC milling machines and CNC lathes, are constantly updated technologically with the best the market has to offer in this field.

Cutting-edge machining equipment for mechanical metalwork, together with the specialised personnel appointed thereto, is the heart of Mekanotech. A dynamic, constantly developing group which offers its clients precision workmanship with increased monitoring, within ever faster production times.

An integrated, precise and punctual production chain for high-quality results

Once the mechanical work has been carried out, Mekanotech relies on selected suppliers, with which it has had a steadfast collaboration for years, for a finish with galvanised treatments (zinc-coating) of the metal parts. Assembly, instead, takes place inside the company, in an appropriately equipped area, where the individual mechanical parts, which have

already been processed according to the client’s specifications, are assembled, giving life to the final product. Experience, precision and controlled procedures are key factors to Mekanotech’s production chain, which ends with the assembly, to assure quality products with reliable and reduced timing.

Highly specialised in the energy sectorMekanotech originates from Gianfranco Perissinotto’s many years of experience abroad, working for major companies in the energy sector and in that of large plants. The company has been operative in the field of mechanical metalwork for 30 years. Since it was established, it has specialised in the manufacturing of mechanical

components for the energy sector, by initially producing single parts for high-voltage circuit breakers. Later, it began to supply not only the single components, but the entire mechanical part already assembled. Today, Mekanotech’s main production consists of low, medium and high voltage circuit breakers. Durability,

resistance and guaranteed functioning, even under extreme conditions, are the characteristics required by this type of product. Indeed, these products are installed all over the world, wherever the French multinational Areva, world leader in the field of nuclear energy, has power plants for the production, transmission and distribution of electricity.

High specialisation for designers and producers of industrial plants

Mekanotech works in the field of structural and mechanical metalwork and heavy engineering and is also a company specialised in the manufacturing of mechanical components for the energy sector as well as for large plants and industrial machinery. Moreover, it produces customised

machine parts for inert matter, recycling and waste processing machinery. In this field its main client, amongst others, is F.lli Ambrosio. Mekanotech also manufactures mechanical components for producers of automated systems for the metallurgic industry, among which Danieli and Pelfa Group.
