About the BusinessThe handcrafted, artisan jewelry from Megan’s Beaded Designs is a combination of art and fashion designed to express the unique and individualistic traits of its wearer. Each detailed piece of adornment has been created with the intent to show off one’s personality and attract the sort of attention of which garnishes compliments and starts invigorating conversations.

We refuse to settle for ordinary.

About the DesignerI believe the things that make us unique are what make us beautiful. We have so many hidden treasures within us, pining for the opportunity to express themselves, and so many people around us who would benefi t if we would only allow our true selves to shine.

Between growing up home-schooled and being highly introverted, I’ve always been “quiet.” This could be challenging because I knew I had loads of unique personality that I wished was easier for me to share with the world. After many years of feeling invisible, I found the easiest way to express my inner self to be through my sense of style. Even when I keep my mouth closed, my “loud” clothing and accessories ensure that I’m noticed.

I design and hand make jewelry for people who don’t want to be invisible.

My pieces are for those who appreciate the details of handmade and the art of the process that goes into each one. I create with the art-inspired jewelry making skills I have learned from 20+ years

of beading, supplemented with my degree in graphic design and fi ne art from Whitworth University.

If you’re like me, then I imagine you love fi nding something that’s different. You don’t just dare to be unique, you strive for it. That’s where my one-of-a-kind jewelry and accessories come in.

I create works of art that unique women and men can actually wear. Each piece speaks for itself through its original composition, intricate details, comfortable wear-ability, and the compliments you’ll receive every time you put it on.

The Negative Space CollectionNegative space refers to the absence of elements. In art composition, this is how we refer to the sections of a painting that do not contain subject matter, or the pocket of air between the handle and base of a tea cup sculpture. Negative space, in and of itself, can paint it’s own picture right along with the main focus of the artwork.

The pieces in the Negative Space Collection at Megan’s Beaded Designs utilize this concept to allow the skin of the wearer to show through. These designs allow YOU to be part of the composition.
